Frank Caught Cheating on His Boyfriend on 'The Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 1st 2011 2:00AM
'The Real World 26'Frank has been a bad boy and a loose cannon all season on 'The Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV), but this week it came back to haunt him when his boyfriend discovered that he'd spent the night with another guy.

Actually, it looked like Frank was crying out to get caught, as he's the one who offered up the information that he'd stayed somewhere else. He then, of course, tried to lie about what happened, but the lies were pretty transparent.

Frank forced his boyfriend to ask him three times if he would tell on himself had something happened between him and this other guys. Three times before Frank could say he would tell. But it was only later that he finally did tell.

Zach Gets Drunk and Yells at Sam for Talking Behind His Back on 'Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 10th 2011 3:00AM
'The Real World'The good news is that the latest argument in 'The Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV) had absolutely nothing to do with race or sexual orientation. It was good old-fashioned talking bad about people behind their back. Sam was doing it and Zach had quite simply had enough of it.

Fuel up with a bit of alcohol and he was ready to go to town. Hilariously, though, when he told her to "step up" and say what she'd been saying to his face, and she did stand up to do just that, he walked away.

Really, though, he's probably just angry because he's not getting busy with Ashley and everyone in the house is talking about it, including Sam. Now Ashley opened that door herself by talking about it in front of everybody, but that doesn't mean Sam can talk about it.

Zach Makes Offensive Homophobic Comment on 'The Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 27th 2011 1:30AM
'The Real World'There seems to have been a theme throughout this season of 'The Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV) about homophobia, or at least insensitivity to homosexuality. It doesn't even necessarily seem intentional on the part of the straight housemates, but their words and actions are sending a negative message to Sam, Frank and the viewers.

This week, when Sam approached Zach to let him know that she and Ashley were waiting on him, a verbal argument over the ping-pong paddles escalated. Zach accused her of wanting him to go get ready so she could play, and she countered by saying she would throw the paddles over the edge of the porch.

'The Real World' Wants to Recruit Occupy Wall Street Protesters

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 20th 2011 9:15AM
'The Real World' could be heading back to its New York City roots for next year's Season 27 (yes, 27), and if you remember watching the premiere season when it first aired then you're basically too old to try out for the next one.

However, if you are (or look like) a 20-something who's feeling disenfranchised and doesn't really want to hang out in Zuccotti Park now that winter is coming, MTV could have just the opportunity for you.

'The Real World' 27 has had an open casting call up and running for some time now, but eager to embrace the zeitgeist and find some politically aware housemates, the casting directors have placed an on New York City's Craigslist specifically targeting the Occupy Wall Street protesters. If you're enticed by "Part of Occupy Wall Street? Real World 27 Wants You!" then roll up the sleeping bag and read on after the jump to find out more.

Frank Gets Drunk and Lashes Out at Nate on 'The Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 13th 2011 1:45AM
'The Real World: San Diego'Frank continues to lose it on 'The Real World: San Diego' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV) and he seems to be starting to realize it. After going out and getting drunk, he decided he'd imbibed enough liquid courage to confront Nate about his homophobia.

It's not that Frank was wrong in being upset that Nate freaked out when he brought a guy home -- refusing to stay in the room they shared and not talking to him for days -- it's in the way he handles himself when he's upset. It's one thing to stand up for yourself, but quite another to start breaking things around the house.

'The Real World': Frank Breaks Down, Annoying Some Housemates (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 6th 2011 6:00AM
'The Real World: San Diego'Frank has been a little volatile since Day One on 'The Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV). He broke down this week back at the house, revealing that his own father had rejected him and essentially thrown him out of the house a scant two weeks before he came on the show.

It certainly explains some of the craziness of his reaction to the homophobic slur last week, but Frank's vulnerability didn't sit well with everyone in the house.

"I hate when people talk about feelings," Zach said, with Nate agreeing.

A Homophobic Slur Causes Frank to Lose His Mind on 'The Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 29th 2011 3:30AM
'The Real World: San Diego' premiereThe 26th season of the granddaddy of all reality television series, 'The Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV) kicked off in San Diego, and right away we had someone completely losing his mind. In Frank's defense, no one likes derogatory slurs thrown at them.

When asking some drunk people to leave the VIP section at a club, one of the women referred to him as a f****** f*****. But while Frank, who is openly bisexual, was losing his mind, another gay cast member didn't seem phased at all by the slur.

"For me, it's a word," Samantha said. "If you look it up in the dictionary, it's a bundle of sticks."

Topless Breakfast on 'The Real World: The S#!@ They Should've Shown' (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jun 16th 2011 9:48AM
Topless breakfastThe suits over at MTV decided that 14 episodes of 'The Real World: Las Vegas' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV) just weren't enough so last night they also brought us 'The S#!@ They Should've Shown,' a.k.a., deleted scenes that were originally judged too risqué or too lame to be included.

One such scene was of the girls serving Mike breakfast whilst topless. As Naomi tells it, this came about because she and Cooke were "trying to scare Mike off ... and we were like, 'let's make breakfast for Mike naked.'"

So the girls tried to act like there was nothing out of the ordinary going on and Mike tried to eat his breakfast sitting next to a topless girl. Although he tried to remain blasé -- this is Vegas, after all -- we couldn't help noticing that his face turned as red as his t-shirt.

Mike's Boyfriend Comes Out to His Family on 'The Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 25th 2010 3:12AM
The Real World, Mike's Boyfriend Comes Out'The Real World' (10PM ET on MTV) lived up to its name on last night's episode, when Mike's boyfriend came out to his family. They weren't happy, and his mom even talked about having to "sell the ranch'" (what century is this again?).

But Mike had just the right words: "What you need to show her is that you're still the same person that you've always been, but the person that you choose to be with and to love is the person that makes you happy, not the person that society is telling you to be with."

That's probably too long for a bumper sticker, but can somebody please put that on a poster or coffee mug or something?

Andrew Visits the White House on 'The Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 18th 2010 2:00AM
The Real World, Andrew visits the White HouseWho knew the answer to all our problems lies in sending Andrew from 'The Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV) to the White House? He's got it all figured out.

Healthcare? Keep it in the hospitals, and make sure everyone has enough band-aids. Afghanistan? They really like us, so don't mess with it. And who else would compare President Obama getting off a helicopter to 'My Super Sweet 16'?

We see a write-in campaign for Andrew in the near future.

Andrew's Girlfriend Has Competition on 'The Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 11th 2010 1:29AM
http://www.aoltv.com/show/the-real-world/243272/mainIt's a difficult situation. You've got a lovely girlfriend, but then this other girl is following you around like a lost puppy, saying you couldn't possibly be in love with the girlfriend because she's not exotic enough.

In other words, it's just another day on 'The Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV). The kicker is when the lost-puppy girl (who seems a little evil) tells Andrew that she can change his mind. Well, ok then! Good enough reason to cheat on the gorgeous girlfriend.

Ty Tosses Andrew Over the Balcony on 'The Real World' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 25th 2010 1:30AM
The Real World D.C., Andrew, TyIf you're going to be on a reality show, choose wisely, because some of them are downright dangerous. 'Survivor' has nothing on 'The Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV).

During the last few minutes of last night's episode, Ty stumbled outside to apologize (sort of, but not really) to Em for his behavior. Andrew somehow got smack in the middle of things and seconds later, Ty tossed him over the balcony. So not cool, dude. Then again, he was wearing a weird panda hat.

What do you think? Should Ty get kicked out of the house for anger management issues?

'The Real World D.C': Meet Ty

by Anna Dimond, posted Dec 30th 2009 2:12PM
Ty Real World: DCIn a notable departure from its programming trends in recent years, MTV is taking a group of eight twenty-somethings far from tropical climes filled with bikini-clad young things, and into the heart of the nation's capital. Tonight, 'Real World XXIII: Washington D.C.' premieres (10PM ET/PT), and so begins a new type of reality TV experience -- at least, mostly.

We chatted with Tyrell (who goes by Ty), one of the new season's cast members, about what viewers can expect in the first episode and beyond, as well as how he fares among his hot-blooded housemates. The Baltimore native opened up about his own competitive nature, his run-in with religion and his rep as the season's resident Lothario.

'The Real World D.C.': Meet Ashley

by Anna Dimond, posted Dec 30th 2009 2:10PM
Ashley Real WorldTonight, a new season is dawning in Washington D.C. It's not at the White House, but on MTV when 'Real World XXIII: Washington, D.C.' premieres (10 pm ET/PT).

On the cusp of the series' return, we spoke with one of the new cast mates to get a taste of what's ahead. Ashley, a Houston local, offered a sneak peek at the friction that sparks in the first episode, as well as what drama, romance and throw-downs might be just around the corner. But don't expect all hot tubs and hooking up. As Ashley explains, this season's tensions hinge more on politics than ménages à troi.

Once you were cast on 'Real World,' did you ever think twice about being a part of it?
I had a few nights were I couldn't sleep, because I was so afraid of this side of me that people would see. I know I have moments where I feel like s--t... . I was afraid that edit would make me look like...
