Did Tiger Woods Have a Son With His Porn Star Mistress? (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 21st 2010 9:35PM
Did you think that the Tiger Woods scandal was over? Don't worry, it'll never be over. We'll probably all still be talking about this in the year 2025 or something. The most recent news in the scandal is that porn star Devon James has filed a paternity suit against Tiger, claiming that he's the father of her 9 year-old son, Austin. 'Extra' (weekdays, syndicated) has the scoop. Porn star James is Tiger's semi-official 15th alleged mistress. Fifteen women: that's a lot. Tiger's wife Elin Nordegren refused to answer questions about the possible son, or the paternity suit.
According to James' allegations, Tiger met her before he was married, and has kept the son secret ever since. She is the second woman to accuse the golfer of giving birth to a "love child." In December, mistress Theresa Rogers also said that she gave birth to Tiger's baby -- she claimed that Tiger gave her millions of dollars in order to buy her silence.

Why Nike Deserves Cursing For Its Tiger Woods Ad
by Danny Gallagher, posted Apr 9th 2010 4:03PM
The Tiger Woods story has become a beast that cannot be fed, no matter how many bloody human entrails you stuff in its perpetually open maw. Tiger's never-ending reach for forgiveness and redemption has been more thoroughly covered than my late grandmother's living room couch. It's turned the news into a supermarket tabloid. It's turned 'SportsCenter' into a Lifetime made-for-TV movie.
And now, with Nike's new Tiger ad, it's turned commercials, my one measly break from this love-to-hate lovefest, into another creepy, lurid, sex-soaked look at a superstar's human indiscretions.

Tiger Woods has returned to the world of golf, following his recent sex scandal and struggles with his wife. Woods is currently playing in the Masters Golf Tournament and, with his return, Nike has released a new ad starring the golfer. The ad is meant to repair some of the damage done to Woods' public image. But unfortunately, some people find it to be ... fairly creepy.Watch the video after the jump.
Bob Costas Talks Tiger Woods' Return to Golf (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 6th 2010 9:55AM
Bob Costas stopped by 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' (weeknights at 12:37AM ET on NBC) and weighed in on Tiger Woods' road to recovery. The veteran sportscaster said given Woods' situation, yesterday's press conference was the best the golfer could do."If he's going to go forward, he was about as forthright as somebody could be in that situation today," Costas said.
However, Costas dispelled the idea that Woods picked the Masters Golf Tournament because he was sure to win it. "I think the main reason he chose the Masters is that it's the most controlled environment in all of sports, not just golf, in all of sports."

Tiger Woods Talks Missing His Son's First Birthday While in Rehab (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 5th 2010 4:45PM
When Tiger Woods made the choice to enter rehab for sex addiction, he knew he was giving up a lot. The embattled golf star got to spend Christmas with his family before entering rehab, but missed his son's first birthday."Because of the time frame of it, I missed my son's first birthday," Woods said in a press conference on CNN (today at 2PM). "And that hurts, that hurts a lot. I vowed I'd never miss another one after that ... that's something I regret and probably will for the rest of my life."
Woods has a long road ahead on his quest for image rehabilitation and you can sure tell by the pain in his face that he means what he says.

Tiger Woods and Wife Star in Video Game on 'South Park' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 18th 2010 2:54AM
It's inevitable that Tiger Woods would end up on 'South Park' (Wed., 10PM ET on COM), but bonus points to Trey Parker and Co. for creating a sweet video game out of the scandal. It's brilliant, really. Put the battling couple on a golf course, arm them with golf clubs, and include game points for endorsements and the almighty Pre-Nup Power-Up!
We're sure if the boys play long enough, Tiger's women will make an appearance, too.

Letterman's extortionist says he's innocent because of ...Tiger Woods?!?
by Danny Gallagher, posted Dec 30th 2009 8:02AM
The scary-looking man to the right who looks like he's trying to swallow your soul through your computer screen has made one of his boldest statements yet. Robert Halderman, the man federal prosecutors have fingered as the David Letterman extortionist, has laid (ahem) a claim on his case that uses Tiger Woods' recent trysts as evidence to back up his innocence.
His attorneys claim since Woods paid one of his gaggle of secret girlfriends to keep things quiet, that should earn their client a get-out-of-jail-free card for making the same gracious offer to Letterman. That only makes the tiniest bit of sense if the person Letterman was having sex with was Halderman. Actually, forget I just said that. Whoops, too late.
Best TV of the '00s: Scandals
by Mike Moody, posted Dec 29th 2009 2:00PM
More of our best of the decade coverage, which started earlier today. You can read the other posts at the link above. Here, we talk about the decade's biggest TV scandals.Who doesn't like a little drama? We love it here at TV Squad. Of course, its usually the scripted kind that we obsess over, not the real-life variety. But it was hard to escape all of the behind-the-scenes scandals going on during the Aughts.
The backstage drama often spilled out onto the tube, in talk show interviews, reality series, and with the 24-hour news networks looking to fill time and boost their ratings. Needless to say, we had little trouble picking our top TV scandals of the '00s.
Cheaters guy gives his take on the Tiger Woods scandal
by Danny Gallagher, posted Dec 15th 2009 1:02PM
Just when thought you had already heard the whole world's take on the Tiger Woods saga, out comes the last person you want to see on a date. Professional soul patch wearer and Cheaters host Joey Greco talked to the Los Angeles Times about Woods' philandering ways.
He describes his take on the reaction, the coverage and even Tiger's handling of the event. He even likens it to David Letterman's recent scandal and says that Letterman handled his public reaction to the event much better and Tiger should have done the same. So does he mean that Tiger Woods also should have released his own Top Ten list?

Has the Tiger Woods saga been too well covered?
by Danny Gallagher, posted Dec 14th 2009 8:04PM
After a long day of whining and moaning about fictional characters' motives and twisting plot lines, I like to unwind with a bit of less believable reality: the evening news. The only thing is this week, my days haven't ended with my daily dose of death and destruction. For instance, the most visible story on last week's roll of the NBC Nightly News was the never-ending Tiger Woods saga, starting with his growing roster of steady girlfriends and ending with his lost endorsement deals. The majority of last week's broadcasts featured the latest news at the very top of their broadcasts.
It's even worse on the cable news networks. The story has been updated and broken over and over for what seems to be every hour on the hour and these are networks that stopped giving time to sports stories when ESPN cornered the market.
Is it just me or is Tiger-gate getting too much coverage?
