"Cheney's Clout", "'08 Simple Rules: For Dating Our Withdrawal": Jon talked about the clout-loosening stylings of our very own Vice President. I don't think I've ever heard the word "clout" used so many times in my entire life. "This man is very, very un-good". The Democrats aren't doing so hot either. Their presentation for their plan for troop withdrawal was less than clear. I haven't heard someone accidentally say "19--" in a long, long time.Maybe I blacked out for a few minutes, but I didn't see any correspondents in this episode. Not even a field report! Hmm. I don't think that's happened in a while. I suspect YouTube/Google is holding all of the correspondents hostage until Viacom pulls the lawsuit. It is the only logical explanation.
Court TV greenlights John Waters-hosted series

Court TV has begun production on its first original scripted series 'Til Death Do Us Part. Each episode will dramatize bizarre cases of happily married couples whose relationships take a turn for the murderous worse. Hosting each episode will be Mr. Bizarre himself - John Waters. The director of such trash classics Pink Flamingos and Female Trouble will star as the "Groom Reaper," guiding us through the grizzly murders that resulted from these most unholy of matrimonies. The show will debut in 2007.
I'd be slightly more excited if Waters were directing the series, but its subject matter is right up his alley -- if only it were set in Baltimore.
Four words I didn't want to hear: The Simple Life renewed
by Anna Johns, posted Jul 12th 2006 9:24AM
Being talentless, rich and stupid is still enough to keep Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie on television. E! just announced that it'll bring the witless wonders back for a fifth season of The Simple Life. The show, where Paris and Nicole make people feel stupid for having family, jobs and an education, is currently in its fourth season. FOX dropped it after three seasons, but E! picked it up. This season, The Simple Life: 'Til Death Do Us Part, is apparently successful enough to warrant another round. According to Variety, the show tripled E!'s primetime ratings when it debuted on June 6.TV Squad Hot Topics
