Someone's Got a Bun in the Oven on 'Cake Boss: Next Great Baker' (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Dec 13th 2011 8:01AM
'Cake Boss'Telling your co-workers that you're pregnant can be complicated, which may be why baker Heather chose to just slide it into a random conversation on 'Cake Boss: Next Great Baker' (Mon., 9PM ET on TLC) rather than make a big announcement.

Her co-workers were totally unaware that she was pregnant until she said she had to go to the bathroom: "Baby pressing on bladder, I'll go really really fast."

Those chef's whites must be very forgiving as, unbelievably, Heather had made it to seven months' pregnant without anyone noticing. Except Chad, who said that he thought she was, but didn't mention it just in case she wasn't.

'All American Muslim': Lowe's Pulls Ads from TLC Show

by Crystal Bell, posted Dec 10th 2011 11:25AM
all american muslim lowes Hardware store Lowe's has pulled ads from TLC's new series 'All American Muslim' after the Florida Family Association encouraged members to email the program's advertisers.

The conservative organization posted a letter reportedly from a Lowe's representative, stating that the retail giant has agreed to pull its ads from the docu-series: "While we continue to advertise on various cable networks, including TLC, there are certain programs that do not meet Lowe's advertising guidelines, including the show you brought to our attention. Lowe's will no longer be advertising on that program."

Lowe's then acknowledged its decision on Twitter. "We did not pull our ads based solely on the complaints or emails of any one group. It is never our intent to alienate anyone. Lowe's values diversity of thought in everyone, including our employees and prospective customers."

The 45-year-old reality star was in her second trimester.

'Toddlers & Tiaras' Mom Admits Putting Child on Applebee's Bar to Sing Lady Gaga (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Dec 6th 2011 6:50PM
'Toddlers & Tiaras' has had some seriously questionable displays of parenting, but never before has production literally halted an interview, rewound for an instant reply and asked, "Wait, wait, what?" in utter disbelief. Until now.

We've got an exclusive sneak peek at this week's new episode (Wed., 10PM ET on TLC) where Riley and Bob's mom proves how dedicated she is to socializing her home-schooled children. "We have taken our children to several drag shows. I've had her performing 'Poker Face' on the bar at Applebee's."

Yep. Uh-huh. But don't worry -- it's not that bad. "It's not like people threw dollars at her or anything, you know? She's not a stripper." Ah, well when you put it that way ...

Nevermind five-year-old daughter Riley's reasoning for not wanting to go to an actual school: "The teacher might be mean. She might throw me in a locker. She might put a bat, a rat, and a vampire ... she might put all of those things and I'll be passed out."

What is happening in this family? Take a look to see for yourself.

by Maggie Furlong, posted Dec 3rd 2011 6:00PM
Candy QueenCandy isn't just for kids -- classic children's treats have been getting a very grown-up makeover lately, and TLC is right on top of the trend.

Adding to their cake, cupcake and baked goods-filled lineup, TLC is sweetening things even more with a new Willy Wonka-inspired show called 'Candy Queen' (premieres Mon., Dec. 5, 10PM ET).

The six-part series follows Los Angeles-based event planner Jackie Sorkin and her "Candy Crew" as they turn boring spaces into edible wonderlands filled with custom candy creations for everything from celebrity events to really Sweet 16 parties. "If people's eyeballs don't fall out of their heads, we didn't do our job," Jackie says.

EXCLUSIVE 'Virgin Diaries' Sneak Peek: Meet 35-Year-Old Virgin Carey (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Dec 1st 2011 3:30PM
Did you catch that promo for TLC's 'Virgin Diaries'? The one with the virgin couple awkwardly sucking face at the altar and on the dance floor on their wedding day? Well there's more where that came from.

In their new one-hour special 'Virgin Diaries' (premieres Sun., Dec. 4, 9PM ET), TLC promises to shed light on a wide range of sexually inexperienced adults who are all still virgins for a multitude of reasons, from religion to factors beyond their control.

The show has received a lot of press -- and a lot of controversy, too. Many people believe that this special aims to mock a lifestyle that millions of people have chosen, but TLC maintains that it's celebrating virgins. "Losing one's virginity is a big life decision," TLC's west coast vice president of production, Timothy Kuryak, told ABCNews.com. "It seemed like one of those seminal life moments that's interesting to follow for TLC." He then added: "We're not trying to make light of this or treat it in a sort of trivial way. We want to document these peoples' stories and why they make this decision."

We've got an exclusive sneak peek at Carey, a 35-year-old bachelor who freely admits that he's "not a virgin entirely by choice," as he consults his friends about how to score on his upcoming date. Their advice: First impressions matter.

EXCLUSIVE 'What Not to Wear' Preview: Meet Tron's Hooker (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 29th 2011 1:00PM
As much as 'What Not to Wear' makes me cringe sometimes, hosts and makeover gurus Stacy London and Clinton Kelly are always there to lighten the mood with pure, unadulterated snark. Like saying someone's outfit is better suited for a hooker from 'Tron.'

They're not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, of course, but sometimes the ugly truth is the only way to get through to people. This is one of those times.

They've got some brand new episodes (premiering Tues., Nov. 29, 9PM ET on TLC) and their first client back is a tough nut to crack. And by nut, I'm implying that she's a little crazy ... but delightfully so. Maybe it's a work side effect?

We've got an exclusive introduction to Jodi, a 50-year-old belly-dancing psych ward nurse. Yep, you read that right, and her wardrobe is just as confused. Here, Clinton and Stacy try to show her the light about why this reflective, futuristic ensemble -- which she describes as her "edgy, hip-hop, downtown nightclub look" -- should be a thing of the past.

Buddy Valastro, 'Next Great Baker'The 'Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro returned with the second season of 'Next Great Baker' (Mon., 9PM ET on TLC). At stake is an apprenticeship at Valastro's bakery, so he's very invested in making the right choices as the competition progresses.

Sometimes that means looking beyond the final product to the individuals behind the efforts. For the elimination challenge, they were separated into teams, which would test their teamwork. As they each have their own artistic vision, this was a tremendous challenge. And with a four-foot tall cake to create, they had their work cut out for them.

Robyn Gives Birth to a Healthy Son on 'Sister Wives' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 28th 2011 4:00AM
'Sister Wives'Robyn brought another baby, her first with Kody, into the extended family, and the cameras of 'Sister Wives' (Sun., 9PM ET on TLC) were there to catch every moment. Kody, an old pro at this by now, was by his wife's side as she delivered at home and in bed. It was a much smoother and more serene looking birth than what you usually see in a hospital room.

The new mother's face lit up as the baby was brought right away into her waiting arms, umbilical cord still attached, and before they could even begin to clean their new son up, he let out his first healthy cry. It was a beautiful moment for the couple and the entire family.

Lila Comforted by Siblings After a Bloody Fall on 'Quints by Surprise' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 23rd 2011 5:30AM
'Quints by Surprise'No one likes to see little ones getting hurt, but it was almost worth it on 'Quints by Surprise' (Tue., 10PM ET on TLC) to see just how sweet and adorable Lila's sisters and brother were in comforting her and letting her know they were glad she was all right.

As any parent has lived through, it's terrifying the first time you're dealing with a lot of blood when it comes to your children. That's what Ethan and Casey Jones encountered when little Lila took a header onto the hard tile floor. But she proved resilient and tough, shaking it off relatively quickly while getting cleaned up, and heading into the arms of her loving siblings.

The Duggar Kids Discover the Bidet in England on '19 Kids and Counting' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 21st 2011 4:30AM
'19 Kids and Counting'Traveling to a new country can lead to all different kinds of culture shock. One of the things that the littlest kids noticed right away when the Duggars traveled to England on '19 Kids and Counting' (Sun., 8PM ET on TLC) was the bidet.

They, of course, didn't know what it is or what it was for. One of the children came closest when she proudly declared that it was a sink.

The older members of the family weren't quite sure what to do as they certainly didn't want the kids playing in this new "sink," nor did they seem keen to explain to them exactly what a bidet is and what it's used for.

Kody's Friends Ask if He Has a Favorite Wife on 'Sister Wives' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 21st 2011 1:00AM
'Sister Wives'Kody's buddies understandably have probably limitless questions about his marital situation on 'Sister Wives' (Sun., 9PM ET on Discovery). One of them posed the question of whether he prefers the company of one wife over any of the others.

"It's an honest question," Kody admitted. "And the answer is no." Truth be told, he loves all of his wives equally, and tries to divide his time with them equally as well. He did have to clarify that he never doubles up with two of them at the same time, though.

"No kinky stuff," he laughed.

Elisabeth ShueOscar nominee Elisabeth Shue is joining the cast of CBS' flagship procedural 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' as a replacement for Marg Helgenberger, Deadline reports.

Shue, whom CBS has allegedly been courting for years, is set to become the new female lead opposite Ted Danson, who in turn replaced original cast-member William Petersen last year. Shue will play a new investigator who joins the team amid rumors that D.B. Russell (Danson) fired her when she worked for him in Seattle.
