After a Robbery, Facing Eviction on 'Harry Loves Lisa' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 21st 2010 4:57AM
After a Robbery, Facing Eviction on 'Harry Loves Lisa'Unlike many couples on reality TV, Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna seem like they're genuinely in love. They've been married for 13 years now, and their relationship is still going strong. So they've got the whole "marriage" thing figured out. But everything else is up for grabs.

Both actors are trying to revive their fading television careers. Lisa is considering surgery to reduce her cosmetically altered lips (which have made her the butt of many jokes). And during a recent appearance on 'Today,' the couple learned that their high-end clothing store was being robbed.

While on 'The Today Show.' Hamlin made a live phone call about the robbery, while Lisa said this was their fourth break-in. Bad luck! But on the new 'Harry Loves Lisa' (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land), things get even worse.

Laura Innes Is Not 'The Event,' But She Knows What It Is and Won't Tell 'Today' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 27th 2010 1:11PM
Laura Innes, 'Today'In 'The Event,' Laura Innes plays Sophia Maguire, a woman who's been held in a secret government facility and who may know more about what's going on in the series than anyone else. But Sophia isn't ready to spill the beans, and neither was Innes when she appeared on 'Today' (Weekdays, 7AM on NBC). "We cannot tell," she told co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford. Innes is so committed to the secrecy, she won't even tell her 9-year old daughter.

But Innes almost missed out on the mysteries herself. "They had called me about a particular part," she said. "And it wasn't that interesting to me." That was until the producers suggested they might change one particular character into a woman. "That was very, very intriguing to me," Innes admitted. "Because [Sophia]'s sort of the hub of the mystery."

'Morning Joe' Anchors Marvel At How Early 'Today' Show Anchors Wake Up (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 24th 2010 5:20PM
The 'Morning Joe' (weekdays, 6 AM ET on MSNBC) anchors recently attended an advertiser meet-and-greet with the personalities from NBC's other morning shows. One of the question they were each asked was what time they wake up in the morning before going on-air in the early AM hours.

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were blown away when they learned most of their counterparts on the 'Today' show, like Meredith Vieira and Al Roker, wake up between 2:30 and 3:30 AM.

"I got no alarm and I wake up at 5:30," Scarborough explained.

"Why does Al (Roker) wake up at 3:30?" Scarborough then wondered

"He has to make his kids lunch," Mika reminded him.

"Those are big lunches, I guess, but look at Al, that explains it," Scarborough, joked, even though Roker has lost a great deal of weight over the years.

Christine O'Donnell's Witchcraft Comments Kick Off 'Today' Show (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 20th 2010 3:12PM
On Monday, the 'Today Show' (weekdays 7 AM ET on NBC) led off with the latest wackiness surrounding Christine O'Donnell, the Republican Senate candidate from Delaware.

They ran a clip of a 1999 appearance O'Donnell made on the Bill Maher-hosted show 'Politically Incorrect' in which the Tea Party favorite playfully admits to dabbling in witchcraft during high school.

"I dabbled into witchcraft. I never joined a coven," a bright-eyed and big-haired O'Donnell says on the 11-year old tape. "One of my first dates was with a witch on a Satanic alter and I didn't know it."

Then Today show correspondent Kelly O'Donnell (no relation) reported that O'Donnell in the wake of these supernatural revelations, had canceled several scheduled national media appearances, and instead campaigned at a Delaware picnic where she made light of the witchcraft admission as typical high school foolishness.

And really, O'Donnell does need to downplay the witchcraft angle as best she can. The last time the nation become so focused on witchcraft was back in 1692, because of some incidents in Salem, MA.

As you probably remember from your history books, that didn't end well for the alleged witches.

Hoda Kotb Has Fun With a Shake Weight on 'Today' (VIDEO)

by AOL TV Staff, posted Sep 8th 2010 9:14PM
On Wednesday's 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC) Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb decided to take a look at some wacky and weird fitness gadgets.

Health and fitness expert Jennifer Cohen was on hand to show the pair some equipment; among the gadgets was the Shake Weight. According to Cohen, the $20 item uses a technology called "dynamic inertia," and the claim is that if you use it for six minutes a day you'll tone your biceps and triceps.

Gifford had her doubts about the gadget, but grabbed it and shook it like a maraca. Cohen went on to say that the Shake Weight was "specifically made for women as I'm sure you can see why," and when Kotb took the gadget and played with it, the crew indeed figured out why -- and burst out laughing.

Thanks, Kotb.

Kathie Lee & Hoda Try to Improve Their Posture (VIDEO)

by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 16th 2010 1:45PM
TodayThe picture on the right shows 'Today' (weekday mornings at 7AM ET on NBC) hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb trying on the latest hat fashions that are coming out of Paris and Milan. Well, OK, it's not fashion, it's books, and they're using them to learn how to walk correctly and have good posture.

This is something that we've seen for years, people balancing books on their heads to learn how to walk correctly. Hoda and the guest seem to do it just fine but Kathie Lee has problems. It's a good thing they didn't try this on Wednesdays, when the women have their wine.

Kathie Lee and Hoda Break the Law on Live Television! (VIDEO)

by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 4th 2010 1:45PM
TodayA lot of people probably didn't know that there is a sandwich-based black market in New York City, but it's true. You can buy sandwiches made by strangers on the street! All you do is hand them money and they hand you the sandwich!

Now, this probably sounds like every single vendor that is on the street in New York City, but this guy doesn't have a license and the Board of Health is after him. That didn't stop Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb from buying sandwiches from him on 'Today' (weekday mornings at 7AM ET on NBC). The show was very careful about hiding his identity, disguising his voice and making sure his face wasn't on camera.

Today Show'Scott Pilgram vs. The World' star Jason Schwartzman was on 'Today' (weekdays at 7AM on NBC) this morning and wanted to know why people seem to love George Clooney so much. He asked Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, and co-star Anna Kendrick, who worked with Clooney in 'Up in the Air.'

Could it be that he seems like a nice guy? His looks? His style? His charity work? His sense of humor? His movies? Well, yes, it's all of those things, according to Kathie Lee, Hoda, and Anna.

If you're wondering why Kathie Lee mentions Schwartzman looking good in tights, it's because she took secret photos of him wearing tights in his house. OK, that's not true, it's because he wears tights in the movie.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Make Fun of Each Other (VIDEO)

by AOL TV Staff, posted Aug 2nd 2010 2:04PM
TodayWill Ferrell usually doesn't take interviews too seriously, and it was that way this morning on 'Today' (weekdays at 7AM ET on NBC). He and 'The Other Guys' co-star Mark Wahlberg couldn't end the interview without dumping on each other. When Matt Lauer calls Wahlberg "intelligent," Ferrell says that he actually isn't intelligent, he's a buffoon.

Wahlberg doesn't let that go by though. He says that when he started working on the film he thought he was going to work with Owen Wilson.

Not sure why Lauer has to call Wahlberg intelligent and serious every time he interviews him though. Why does he feel he has to do that?

Kathie Lee Takes a Shot at Jay Leno and His Wife (VIDEO)

by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 30th 2010 4:44PM
TodayIt's one thing for a TV host to dump on another TV host, but Kathie Lee Gifford might have gone a little too far this morning on the last hour of 'Today' (weekdays at 7AM ET on NBC). While showing an awkward photo of a naked man and his naked wife, Gifford said that it looked like Jay Leno and his wife. The guy in the photo kinda sorta looks like Leno if you squint your eyes a lot.

Now let's see if Leno will respond with a picture of a woman and an elderly man and say it's Kathie Lee and Frank Gifford.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Disowns The Cast of 'Jersey Shore' (VIDEO)

by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 28th 2010 12:59PM
Chris ChristieYou would think that the cast of any show that gets tourists to come to your state would be welcome in that state, no? Well, not if that show is 'Jersey Shore.' New Jersey governor Chris Christie isn't thrilled with the cast and wants nothing to do with them, as he told Matt Lauer on 'Today' (weekdays at 7AM ET on NBC).

He disowns them not just because of the way they act but because of the fact that most of the cast isn't even from New Jersey, they're from New York. He thinks New York should take them back.

Actually, the state of New York would probably like to have nothing to do with them either. Also the 48 other states too.

Kathie Lee Hands Out Pasties to the 'Today' Crew (VIDEO)

Today ShowIf you watch the 12th hour of 'Today,' the hour hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, you know it's all about drinking and sex. Like this morning. The two hosts drank and Kathie Lee whipped out the Flying Pasties, which isn't a circus act but a new product that you can stick on your body for when you use those new scanners at the airport. You know, if you're a little shy about showing certain body parts.

Kathie Lee also embarrasses a couple of crew members in the process.
