Joe Rogan Talks About His Slacktivism Against the War on Drugs (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 19th 2011 7:57AM
With Tommy Chong sitting in 'The Green Room with Paul Provenza' (Thu., 11PM ET on Showtime), it was inevitable that the topic of drugs came out. The guys talked about their belief that marijuana is harmless, and the details of Chong getting busted for bongs, as opposed to actual drugs.Joe Rogan started talking about the 'War on Drugs,' which he sees as a joke at this point, and representative of the colossal failure of government in general.
"The only way you're going to fix it is by influencing young people," he said. "Young people who are not going to be completely compromised by the system by the time they hear your message."
Tommy Chong to Huckabee: Weed Lies Like Yours Put Me in Jail (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 4th 2010 8:50PM
Things got a little feisty on 'The Huckabee Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Actor and comedian Tommy Chong was invited on the show to discuss marijuana legalization. Chong is best known for his pothead-based performances in the 'Up in Smoke' series of movies. So, it was understandable that he'd have a different point of view about "legalizing it," as compared to the conservative Mike Huckabee. But then, Chong started to get annoyed -- and that's when the anger, the interrupting, and the use of a curse word happened.Tommy repeatedly accused Huckabee and fellow guest David Evans of lying about the effects of pot use. Eventually, Chong just got mad and started directly fighting with Huckabee.
"You're getting paid to say what you're sayin'," Chong said to Huckabee. " ... You get paid to recite all the lies."
Huckabee admitted to getting paid for his show, but denied that he was being paid to promote any particular point of view. Which was about the point at which Tommy Chong cursed at Mike. He called Huckabee a "mushroom farmer." "... You know what a mushroom farmer is? ... You keep em' in the dark, and you throw *BLEEPED* on them."

Legendary comedy team Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong appeared on 'Lopez Tonight' and submitted to a DNA test, and touched on the benefits of marijuana use."I think we'll find out you guys are 32% THC," said George Lopez, referring to the active ingredient in marijuana. As part of a recurring bit, Lopez routinely tests the DNA of his guests to determine their heritage.

Cheech and Chong and ... Ann Coulter?!?
by Danny Gallagher, posted Nov 20th 2009 2:29PM
First there was the Lincoln-Douglas debate. Then came the Nixon-Kennedy debate. Now Fox News' Geraldo Rivera continues that great American tradition of the public debate with the Cheech and Chong-Coulter debate.
It might sound like the world's most lopsided episode of Celebrity Deathmatch, but the world's most famous pot comedy duo squared off against the famed conservative pundit on Rivera's "Geraldo at Large" show recently to discuss the opening of the country's first cannibus club in Portland, Oregon and the legalization of marijuana. Despite the craziness of the casting, they actually have a very frank, civilized and enlightening discussion on the subject.
