- FOX has a new Bones, then a new Fringe.
- TCM has the 1938 version of A Christmas Carol at 8.
- At 8:30, Cartoon Network has a new Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, followed by the season finale of Total Drama Action.
- At 9, Comedy Central has a new Jeff Dunham Show.
- TLC has a new American Chopper at 9.
- Spike has a new TNA Wrestling at 9.
- Also at 9: Current has a new SuperNews, then new episodes of InfoMania, SuperNews, and The Rotten Tomatoes Show.
- At 10, FX has a new It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, followed by a new episode of The League.
- MTV has the season premiere of Jersey Shore at 10.

Sneak Peek: this week's Total Drama Action season finale

I have to admit I haven't seen any of Total Drama Action. It's a show I often include in my What's On Tonight picks, but I just haven't caught up with it yet. From this recap/preview below, it looks like fun, sort of a weird Cartoon Network version of Survivor, with a few other reality shows mixed in too. The season finale airs this Thursday at 9PM.

At 7, ABC has the two-hour season premiere of Extreme Makeover, followed by the season premieres of Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters.- CBS has a new 60 Minutes at 7, then the two-hour season premiere of The Amazing Race and the season premiere of Cold Case.
- NBC has a new Football Night in America at 7, followed by the Colts vs. the Cardinals.
- At 8, FOX has the season premiere of The Simpsons, then the series premiere of The Cleveland Show and the season premieres of Family Guy and American Dad.
- TBS has The Wizard of Oz at 8.
- Nickelodeon has a new Nick News Special Edition at 8.
- Also at 8: Food Network has a new Challenge, followed by a new Iron Chef America.
- At 8:30, ESPN has the Red Sox/Yankees game.
