Tina Fey Does Tracy Morgan Impression on 'Letterman' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 25th 2010 4:11AM
We're with Tina Fey and David Letterman on this one. We've talked to Tracy Morgan before, and he does have his own brand of language going. But it just makes us love him more -- even if we have no idea what he's talking about. It also gives Fey the perfect platform to do her impersonation of her '30 Rock' co-star, which she did with gusto on 'Late Show With David Letterman' (11:35PM ET on CBS). If you close your eyes, you could swear it's Morgan.

'Parks and Recreation' - 'The Possum' Recap
by Kona Gallagher, posted Mar 12th 2010 1:02AM
(S02E18) I miss the pit. It's been a while since we've heard anything about it, so it was nice to have it mentioned again. Even though Leslie may not have her favor with the mayor's office (I guess she'll just have to live with an un-laminated bus pass), I'd like to see something happen with the now-filled-in giant hole in the ground.Leslie clearly has more important things on her plate, like possum-wrangling. The whole task force thing could have been just ridiculous, and don't get me wrong-- it was, but there was one thing that saved it: the fact that there was an actual possum running around on Andy's neck. How he didn't just vomit to death, I'll never know. Chris Pratt deserves a raise though.
Biff Henderson Visits the 'Cop Out' Set (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 5th 2010 1:55AM
Biff Henderson from 'Late Show With David Letterman' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) paid a visit to the set of 'Cop Out.' He hung out with Bruce Willis and Kevin Smith, but nobody got a word in edge-wise with Tracy Morgan holding court.Let's see, he covered a pivotal scene from 'Planet of the Apes,' his favorite movie ('Shaft'), his least favorite movie ('E.T.'), his biological mother (Katharine Hepburn), losing his virginity at the age of six, Marion Barry, and e-Harmony.
And we're sure there were a few more Easter eggs hidden in there.

Two Examples of Why Tracy Morgan is Talk Show Gold
by Nick Zaino, posted Feb 25th 2010 6:03PM
In case you hadn't heard, Tracy Morgan is the most fertile man on the planet. It must be true, otherwise he wouldn't offer to impregnate women quite so often. Now Morgan has Jimmy Kimmel riding shotgun on his magical maternity ride in a new video for 'IMPREGN8ED,' a thumping club tune about, well, making women pregnant.
Morgan is the player hitting up the ladies at the club (a phrase that falls uneasily from my brain), and Kimmel is the Lil Wayne (or is it Lil Jon?) sidekick singing the ubiquitous Auto-Tune chorus. And, you know, adult heads on babies is comedy gold. Here's the video Kimmel introduced Wednesday night.

Tracy Morgan and Jimmy Kimmel Make a Rap Video (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 25th 2010 6:12AM
Anyone having fertility problems should check in with Tracy Morgan, because he's guaranteed to "put a baby inside you tonight." Still not convinced? Watch the rap video he did with Jimmy Kimmel for 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).It's not bad, but they could pick up a few pointers from Andy Samberg. Then again, they probably had to rush through it so Kimmel could get those teeth he borrowed back to Jaws from 'Moonraker.'

Tracy Morgan and Jon Stewart Talk Safe Sex (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 25th 2010 4:24AM
Bag up? Pull out? New school? Old school? It's just another night of Tracy Morgan and Jon Stewart talking about safe sex on 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart' (weeknights, 11PM ET on COM).Somehow, Morgan managed to work Bill Clinton and Harlem into the conversation, too. Wait, is Stewart blushing? Yes, we're pretty sure he's blushing.

Tracy Morgan Gets Punched by Stevie Wonder (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 18th 2010 7:00AM
You usually don't think of Stevie Wonder as a good puncher, but apparently, he is. On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC), Tracy Morgan talked about doing the Super Bowl commercial with Wonder."My arm was swollen the next day," said Morgan. "Man, he hit hard! Now I love Stevie, but I threatened him!"
And, oh yeah, there's also the little matter of Wonder trying to get Morgan's lady pregnant. And the fact that he's not really blind.

Audience Members Dance Up a Storm on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)
by Harley W. Lond, posted Feb 17th 2010 7:44PM
Ellen DeGeneres' daily dance stroll down the aisle at the beginning of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) was punctuated by wonderful outbursts of dancing and shimmying by audience members."We have some talented dancers in the audience today," DeGeneres says. The camera then closes in on four guys who stand up and dance in their seats; this impresses DeGeneres and guest Tracy Morgan, who quips "Those dudes rock, baby. They have me shimmying and all that."
Then Morgan riffs on an older audience member, who he figures argued with his wife cause he really wanted to go to 'The Price Is Right.'

Oprah is Tracy Morgan's Valentine (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 16th 2010 6:57AM
Tracy Morgan has a thing going with Oprah Winfrey. In fact, on 'Late Show With David Letterman' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), he revealed that the talk show queen was his valentine. But alas, all is not well."We're going through some problems," said Morgan. "Every time I turn around, she on the phone with Gail. Get off the phone with Gail!"
Yeah, what up with that, Oprah?!

Tracy Morgan and Stevie Wonder Play Punch Dub
by Allison Waldman, posted Feb 14th 2010 9:44AM
There was a commercial for Volkswagen that aired during Super Bowl Sunday last week, but it didn't make Kona's best of the best. Still, having seen it a couple of time since, perhaps it should have been. Do you remember it? It's based on a game called punch dub, and every time a person sees a Volkswagen before the other person, they get to punch their partner and call out the color of the car.I had some friends who played a car game like this, punching each other each time one saw a vehicle with one light not working. They called it pediddle. Ridiculous name, but then punch dub is just as silly. But it's real. And that's a big part of why this commercial is so good. You can relate to it. Everyone can play. There's the kid with his grandfather. The two Amish folk. The drunk guys in the limo.
Kathy Griffin's She'll Cut A Bitch on DVD
by Nick Zaino, posted Jan 11th 2010 7:54PM
The best thing about making fun of the daily failings of celebrities and other public figures, as is Kathy Griffin's bread and butter, is that you can write a new act every few weeks. Griffin's Bravo special, She'll Cut A Bitch, originally aired in April of 2009, and comes out uncensored with a few extra routines (about 12 minutes total) on DVD January 12. She also released a CD last November, called Suckin' It For the Holidays, which had almost nothing to do with the holidays. There was very little overlap between the special and CD. Griffin has released a steady stream of specials for the past several years, in addition to shooting her reality show, My Life on the D-List.
Right now on Cinematical
by Kona Gallagher, posted Dec 27th 2009 8:32AM
The folks at our sister site Cinematical are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- Around this time of year, it's always good to get the kids out of the house. But is taking them to go see Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel a worthwhile family adventure?
- If chipmunks aren't up your alley, Cinematical talks about the best family films of the decade.
- I love going to see a movie over the holidays, but this year I'm in the Outer banks with the family and the local movie theater has actually closed for the season. So while I would really like to see Sherlock Holmes, I can't. I can, however, read Cinematical's Sherlock Holmes review here.
- We have been watching a lot of DVDs though, including The Hangover, which is on Cinematical's Blu-Ray/DVD shopping guide.
- One of the movies I'm looking forward to the most is Cop Out, the Tracy Morgan/ Bruce Willis cop movie, directed by Kevin Smith. It was originally supposed to be called, A Couple of Dicks, but in any case, it finally has a trailer.

There's nothing like toxic ooze to let you know your workplace is hazardous. On 'Scare Tactics,' a worker believes he's been exposed when he accidentally drops a barrel -- and at a mad scientist's party, a caterer serves up more than he's bargained for when he meets a serial killer.

TV Squad Ten: TV's biggest rule breakers
by Allison Waldman, posted Oct 28th 2009 10:56AM

Rules are meant to be broken... especially for these ten television characters. For them, the rest of the world has one standard to live by and they have another. It makes them interesting and fun to watch... you just wouldn't necessarily want to be the person having to deal with them because they could drive you to distraction. Here's my ten pack of characters who live in a world of their own, according to no rules except their own. From the not-too-bad to the really bad.
10. Patrick Jane, The Mentalist
You would think that as a consultant to the CBI -- California Bureau of Investigation -- Patrick Jane would be compelled to uphold the rules and regulations of the department. However, Jane is a free spirit when it comes to office protocol. He does his own thing. For instance, bugging the office of a CBI higher-up is definitely not kosher. Jane doesn't care; he did it anyway and will probably get away with it.
