'Jersey Shore' Season 4 Trailer: Florence, Fights, Hook Ups & More (VIDEO)
by Alex Moaba, posted Jul 19th 2011 11:30AM
What can you expect from 'Jersey Shore' Season Four? If the new trailer is any indication, the same patented 'Jersey Shore' antics -- drunken misadventures, the housemates yelling and throwing things at each other, hook-ups, fights, and car crashes -- that we've come to expect from the carousing crew, just transplanted to Florence, Italy.A few key developments in the season are clear from the trailer, and 'The Situation' is at the center of them: an emerging Vinny-esque flirtation with Snooki, and a big physical altercation with Ronnie, which ends with the Sitch laying glassy eyed on the floor, taken out of the house in a stretcher.

'Teen Mom' Season 3 Trailer: The Terrible Twos
by Jean Bentley, posted Jun 8th 2011 12:30PM
There's plenty of drama in MTV's trailer for the newest season of 'Teen Mom' (original version) -- Amber gets arrested, Maci fails her college classes, Farrah contemplates a move and Caitlin fears for her relationship -- but all of that seems irrelevant because OH MY GOSH, those babies are getting so big!Little Leah, Bentley and Sophia are now approaching their terrible twos, and have the cute long hair and limited vocabulary to match. As blah as most of the girls on 'Teen Mom 2' are, it could be a good thing that MTV held out on bringing their original cast back for more. This way, there's a noticeable difference in age and appearance for all the tots.
MTV's 'Teen Wolf' Trailer Looks Pretty Great (Don't Judge Me)
by Jean Bentley, posted Mar 30th 2011 12:06PM
MTV's 'Skins' experiment might not have gone as planned (or maybe it did, if the goal was to get the Parents Television Council riled up over a mediocre remake), but the network's 'Teen Wolf' actually looks like it could be a legitimate scripted hit.The new three-minute trailer for the series, which premieres Sunday, June 5, at 11PM ET, is very blue-filter-heavy -- which probably lends to the 'Twilight'-y vibe our friends at Vulture pointed out -- but also looks ... kind of awesome?
There's plenty of angst, sexual frustration, action, not-too-shabby special effects, and did I mention angst? (I love angst.) Plus, some inoffensively cute boys playing dangerous mythical beasts with hyper-aware senses -- basically everything you need for a successful teen franchise nowadays. Suspiciously, there's no basketball; it seems teen wolves are into lacrosse nowadays.

Toni Collette Goes Back to School in 'United States of Tara' Season 3 Trailer
by Jean Bentley, posted Feb 17th 2011 4:00PM
Tara Gregson is heading back to school when the Showtime hit 'United States of Tara' premieres its third season on March 28 ... and so are T and Alice and Buck and ... you get the drift.Showtime just released the first trailer for season 3, and it features plenty of alter action, Tara going back to school and Eddie Izzard being a badass (like always). One thing it doesn't feature: enough of the rest of the family. Where's Marshall? And where's Frances Conroy as Max's mother?
Regardless, we're excited for the show to return. Watch the trailer after the jump.
New 'Jersey Shore' Season 3 Trailer: 'Hell Has to Be Just Like This'
by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 21st 2010 5:30PM
As Pauly D puts it in the latest trailer for 'Jersey Shore' season 3, "We are absolutely gonna top last summuh."That's the first of many sure-to-be-true statements we hear in the more-than-two-minute-long clip from MTV. Also in the running: Vinny's "Hell has to be just like this."
Pretty much everything we need to know about new cast member Deena can be summed up in this quote: "It took a day for somebody to see my goods."
And, finally, number one on the things not to scream out when you're getting arrested for public drunkenness is "Ew, get the f--- off my arm." Even if you are a "f---ing good person," that extra bit of profanity really isn't going to convince the police officers to lay off.
In summary, the Macaroni Rascals are drunker (like, a lot drunker), nakeder (at least Deena is), and perhaps funnier than last season. Judge for yourself after the jump.
MTV's 'Skins' Gets a Longer (and Better) Trailer
by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 8th 2010 5:30PM
Prepare to let out a tentative sigh of relief, 'Skins' fans, because the latest trailer for MTV's new series makes the show look less like a carbon copy of its (probably) superior British predecessor and more like a series in its own right. From now on we're basing all our pre-show opinions on the just-released clip, if only because it keeps us from crying ourselves to sleep every night wondering exactly how much MTV's going to screw up our beloved show. In fact, we like where this is heading.
Watch the Trailer for MTV's American Version of 'Skins'
by Jean Bentley, posted Oct 21st 2010 6:00PM
Though it worked for 'The Office,' there have been about a gajillion ill-advised American remakes of famous British TV shows that don't fare so well. The occasional gem will shine through, like the aforementioned 'Office' or January's promising-looking 'Shameless,' but others, like 2003's 'Coupling,' bomb worse than Bill O'Reilly on 'The View.'As for MTV's upcoming remake of the gritty teen drama 'Skins,' well, it's up in the air. The footage seems to be from the first episode, which follows the plot of the U.K. version nearly exactly -- though thankfully they didn't use the same exact script. (British humor doesn't always translate when delivered in an American accent.) But will it go the way of 'The Office' or of 'Coupling'? Watch the new trailer and judge for yourself.
TLC Unveils Trailer for 'Sarah Palin's Alaska'
by Jean Bentley, posted Oct 15th 2010 10:22AM
We know Sarah Palin, governor, and Sarah Palin, vice presidential candidate. Now, thanks to the new trailer for TLC's 'Sarah Palin's Alaska,' we'll get to know Sarah Palin, mother and outdoorswoman. The former Alaska governor's new TLC reality series, which premieres Sun., Nov. 14 at 9PM, documents Palin and her family enjoying their home state's pristine beauty. In this first look at the show, she extols the virtues of being outdoors in Alaska. "Oh gosh, we are somewhere that people dream about," she exclaims while hiking on a mountain.
She also makes her priorities clear: "Family comes first. It's just gotta be that way," she says. "I'd rather be doing this than in some stuffy political office. I'd rather be out here bein' free."

New Trailers for 'Gossip Girl' and 'Eastbound & Down' Hit the Web
by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 16th 2010 5:30PM
Impatient TV fans of all genres, today is your lucky day.Two very different shows released trailers for their upcoming seasons today, with The CW offering a lengthy look at 'Gossip Girl''s fourth season and HBO teasing the second season of 'Eastbound & Down.'
The unembeddable 'Gossip Girl' sneak peek is surprisingly informative, immediately revealing whether Chuck Bass is alive or dead, whether that really was Dan's baby and whether Blair and Serena have that blissful Parisian vacation they hoped for. Spoiler alert: Chuck's alive (we think), it's Dan's baby (at least that's what he thinks) and the BFFs are once again frenemies.

'Terriers' Trailer: Donal Logue Gets His Gumshoe On In FX's New Series
by Mike Moody, posted Aug 16th 2010 3:40PM
Donal Logue and Michael Raymond-James are teaming up for some gumshoe action in the new FX series 'Terriers.' The new dramedy, from 'Ocean's Eleven' scribe Ted Griffin and 'The Shield' creator Shawn Ryan, stars Logue ('Life') and Raymond-James ('True Blood') as a pair of low rent P.I.s trying to eek out a living on the lesser-traveled streets of San Diego.
Zap2it has posted the first official trailer for the show, which looks like it's trying to strike a delicate balance between its two creators' distinct storytelling styles.
'Weeds' Season 6 Trailer: Nancy Botwin's Crazy Ride (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Jun 8th 2010 6:30PM
Watching the season 6 trailer for 'Weeds' makes me remember how much of a serious GIRL-CRUSH I have on Mary-Louise Parker and how much I've missed the show. It seems like years since the season five finale, 'All About My Mom,' but it was just last August. Thank goodness Showtime isn't going to make us wait another year or two for season six. It premieres Aug. 16. Based on the season 6 trailer below, it looks like 'Weeds' is getting a much-needed reboot. I was looking over my reviews from last season, and wow, you guys were not happy with me, because I just wasn't digging the show at all.
Mega Piranha: The Most Ridiculous SyFy Trailer Ever?
by Brad Trechak, posted Apr 15th 2010 12:03PM
The trailer for the SyFy television movie 'Mega Piranha' is pretty ridiculous. It makes the "Imagine Greater" tagline of the channel seem ironic. Even more ridiculous, however, is the fact that the television movie got higher ratings than 'Caprica' and was the channel's most-watched movie for the year.
One would hope that a cable network specializing in science fiction would promote philosophical programming about the human condition rather than a silly television movie about mutated fish. Obviously, the majority of people in the United States that stay in on a Saturday night disagree with me. Perhaps everyone just wanted to see what Barry "Greg Brady" Williams was up to nowadays.
On the other hand, everybody has guilty pleasures (which would explain the success of many reality shows) and perhaps 'Mega Pirahna' is one of them. If that's what it takes to keep 'Caprica' on the air, then I'm all for it.

Get Ready for 'The Real L Word' (New Trailer!)
by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 5th 2010 5:15PM
What do you get when you take the premise of Showtime's cult-hit 'The L Word' and mix it with Magic Elves, the producers of 'Top Chef'? 'The Real L Word,' Showtime's new reality series.Think 'Real Housewives' mixed with a little 'Sex and the City' and a whole lot of 'The L Word.' Sound intriguing?
The show, which will follow the lives of six lesbians, has sometimes been referred to as 'The Real L Word: Los Angeles.' If this show is a hit, Showtime could have its own franchise just like Bravo's 'Real Housewives.'
After watching the teaser trailer from the Hollywood Reporter, we're ready for the premiere on June 20 at 10PM ET.

'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Returns May 3 With Bigger Hair, Bigger Drama (New Trailer!)
by Chris Harnick, posted Mar 26th 2010 1:40PM
The show that brought back the angry table flip is returning to Bravo -- and sooner then you'd think ... May 3! Yes, all of the lovely ladies -- Teresa, Dina, Caroline, Jacqueline and Danielle -- are back on 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' and we couldn't be happier. Forget the squabbling in 'New York', the botox in 'Orange County' and the weaves in 'Atlanta,' the 'New Jersey' Italian girls know how to make some good television.
If the new trailer is an indication, this season will be filled to the brim with drama. From a trip to Italy and ongoing court battles, this season is sure to pack quite a punch, both literally and figuratively!
