Felicity Huffman Thought She'd Do More Movies After 'Transamerica'
by Joel Keller, posted Jul 28th 2010 8:02AM
If you're wondering why Felicity Huffman of 'Desperate Housewives' hasn't done more movies since her Oscar-nominated leading role in 'Transamerica' five years ago, you'd be wondering alongside Huffman herself."I was anticipating doing more movies," she told me as TCA members toured the Wisteria Lane set on the first day of the summer press tour. "I got a lot of movie scripts for a while... I don't really get them anymore."
Huffman said she underestimated how much time she'd really have during her five-week 'Housewives' breaks, but that wasn't all she underestimated. "Independent films have taken a dive. They're becoming harder and harder to do and somewhat extinct because there's a glut on the market, and they're just so hard to get funding. So I feel like the golden age of independent movies, at least the way they were being done, is over."
Sexual Healing from a Desperate Housewife

It must have been those "I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV" commercials that made people like Sex in the City's Kim Cattrall think playing a sexually-liberated character on television qualified them to dole out relationship advice to the masses. Between her tomes Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm and Sexual Intelligence, Cattrall is a regular Dr. Ruth. Lucky for us, it looks like she started a trend. Following is Cattrall's sexpert footsteps is Desperate Housewives' Felicity Huffman. On January 23rd, Huffman and co-author Patricia Wolff will release A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend: What Every Girl Needs to Know. Felicity is one half of Hollywood super couple Filliam H. Muffman, or so she and husband William H. Macy were dubbed by Stephen Colbert. She obviously knew how to snag her man and, well, she plays a sexy lady on TV so what advice does she have to offer the unglamorous among us? Here's a peak:
Eva Longoria: No longer desperate
by Annie Wu, posted Apr 21st 2006 8:18AM
According to some recent buzz, Eva Longoria
does not plan to renew her contract with ABC's Desperate Housewives. Longoria said, "I don't want to be on 7th Heaven -- on for 20 years and no one's really watching
and it's hanging on by a thread." Apparently, she'd rather not waste her
time on the show past her contract because she has her sights set solely upon the silver screen (she already has one
new film, The Sentinel, co-starring Michael Douglas).I'm not that into the whole Housewives scene, but I've heard that many think the show has lost its steam since it started out with a bang in 2004. Do you think Longoria's worrying a little too early, or are her fears justified?
