TV Squad features you may not know about
by Keith McDuffee, posted Mar 6th 2008 8:00AM
We thought it was time again to point out a few features of TV Squad that have been around for quite some time now, since we have new readers coming to the site every day.First up, RSS feeds. Most blog readers know what these are and how to subscribe to them, so I'm not going to get into the basics of that now. What you may not know, though, is how many different RSS feeds we actually have here. Sure, you can subscribe to the main feed with all of the posts, but maybe you want to zone in or posts in certain categories?

by Allison Waldman, posted Feb 21st 2008 5:43PM
TV Squad reported this a while back, so consider this a reminder, all you My Name Is Earl devotees. TBS will begin airing back-to-back episodes of the NBC/Emmy-winning sitcom on Mondays at 10:00 and 10:30 starting March 3rd. This is a chance to catch up on all the episodes from the very beginning. If you don't already know all about Earl's list, the true meaning of Karma, and why the Hickey brothers share a bed, this will fill in the blanks.Top TV Stories of 2007: Intro
by Keith McDuffee, posted Dec 26th 2007 8:05AM

It seems these days with everyone talking about the WGA strike, and then, as a result, fewer new episodes of our favorite shows airing, there's not a whole lot going on with TV these days. If you just take a quick look back through the last twelve months of the year, you'll find some things you remember fondly, others you wished to never be reminded of.
We went through some of the most talked about and interesting stories of 2007 and put them together, just as we do every year. Some of them are more personal to us than others, but in all cases they certainly kept the TV Squad desks buzzing.

by Keith McDuffee, posted Nov 23rd 2007 2:00PM
This is just a quick reminder that a week from today is TV Squad's first (of what we hope to be many) meet-up of readers and writers, sponsored by Sling Media. You can read full details on our original post as far as time and location.Just a quick update: I've got a good amount of TV shows on DVD to give away, thanks to Paramount Home Video and HBO Home Video, as well as some TV Squad T-shirts. We're not sure yet how we're giving it all away, but we'll come up with something. Hope to see you there!
What Isabelle is thankful for
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Nov 22nd 2007 12:07PM
I may not celebrate Thanksgiving today (as Robin from How I Met Your Mother would say, "The real Thanksgiving was in October!") but that doesn't mean I cannot take part of TV Squad thankful post series. Television is a big part of my life. I've grown with it. I spend hours with it every day. So it's about time, I give thanks for having television in my life!
What Annie is thankful for
by Annie Wu, posted Nov 21st 2007 1:22PM
Thanksgiving is more than a time when families force members to tolerate each other for a few hours to get through a meal with minimal bloodshed. Oh, no. It's so much more: Thanksgiving is when TV Squad does these nifty lists of what we bloggers are thankful for in the TV world. My list will never be complete, because far into the new year, I will continue to think of the thousands of tiny things that should belong here. Of course, I don't have the time, space, or energy to make a thousand-item list, so an 8-point piece will have to do.Have a lovely Thanksgiving Day, you wonderful people, and don't forget your stretchy pants.

TV Squad video: on the set of Scrubs
by Kevin Kelly, posted Feb 13th 2007 11:01AM

TV Squad -- at least the part consisting of Joel Keller and myself -- recently visited the set of Scrubs, and were lucky enough to score interviews with Zach Braff (J.D.), Sarah Chalke (Elliot), and Bill Lawrence, the creator and executive producer. The hardest part about doing this video is not revealing who dies in the episode that was being shot. Seriously, it's driving me a bit mental. However, NBC lawyers and corporate drones would descend upon us so fast if we were to reveal which long-time cast member unfortunately passes away in the episode. So, we'll keep mum.
Scrubs has been shooting for six seasons now, and has an extremely tight cast and crew. However, they couldn't have been nicer to us, and we were treated to a fun day on set. In between takes, we picked up some interviews that drop hints at a possible seventh season, insights into the characters, and even some news about the Nobody's Watching show. Looks like a special on NBC is in the works!
Watch the video after the jump, and also check out AOL's gallery of photos from the very same set visit. We really want one of those Dr. Kelso paintings hanging in the palatial TV Squad lobby. He manages to look both regal and downtrodden at the same time.
TV Squad's Lost discussion
by Chris Thilk, posted Oct 5th 2006 3:27PM
The folks here at TV Squad have been having quite an interesting conversation behind the scenes regarding last night's season premiere of Lost. I don't watch the show (I know J.J. Abrams has no idea what he's doing and is making it up as he goes along. That's what he did with Alias and it's likely what he's doing on Lost) but thought that the way those who had tuned in was worthy of publishing for the masses to see. So after the jump you can read the uncensored thoughts of the TV Squad staff.Reminder: Contests galore!
by Keith McDuffee, posted Sep 18th 2006 11:40AM
This is just a quick reminder to everyone that there's still two more weeks left to enter our "Invent a TV condition" contest, the prize being a $250 Best Buy gift card and ten runners-up Scrubs prize packs. There's also time to enter our "Which show gets canceled first" contest, though your guess is as good as ours as to when this contest will officially be over. The prize in this contest is a SnapStream BeyondTV do-it-yourself DVR system.
Then of course we've got the "Katie Couric sign-off" contest and the weekly Subtle Subtitles contest, though the prizes there are those ever-useful stars next to your name.
