The 'Twilight'-'24' Connection
by Moviefone Staff, posted Nov 16th 2011 7:00PM

At Bella and Edward's wedding in 'Breaking Dawn Part 1,' Bella's dad, Charlie Swan (Billy Burke), makes a somewhat-threatening toast, where he mentions he's very good at hunting people down -- if necessary. Edward, heed those words! Long before Burke played Kristen Stewart's loving dad and small-town sheriff in the 'Twilight' franchise, he was on the other side of the law as a brutal wife-murderer in '24.' As for Bella's doting mom, Renee (Sarah Clarke)? She was only Jack Bauer's most deadly nemesis.
Taylor Lautner Describes Reactions from International Twi-Hards (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Jul 2nd 2010 5:46AM
It appears that Twi-hards react differently to Robert Pattinson & co. depending on their nationality, Taylor Lautner explained on 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS)."In Japan, they're very sensitive," said Lautner. "They cry a lot." Comforting them with a touch on the shoulder only makes things worse: Weeping turns to bawling, and then fainting.
"In Brazil, they're very aggressive and physical ... They broke down the barricades," he said. "They literally would grab our legs and our arms and we had to walk with them on top of us to the car."
During one press junket, security had to call in the National Guard to fend off 2,000 fans who'd stormed the hotel lobby.
Fangtastic 'True Blood' Busts For Release in 2010
by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 26th 2009 8:00AM
Calling all fangbangers! Forget blood lust. Haven't you often found yourself craving a lifelike replica of Eric Northman to sink your teeth into? Well pine no longer, my bloodthirsty friends: thanks to DC Unlimited and their upcoming series of 'True Blood' busts, you'll soon be able to display your homage to the hunky Sheriff of Area 5 on any mantle, bookshelf or nightstand.
The New York Post is reporting that the limited run of mini-busts will also feature the star-crossed (and somewhat whiny) human/vampire couple, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), and will be made to order for release on July 21, 2010.
Right now on Cinematical

The folks at our sister site Cinematical are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- Live Free or Die Hard on Blu-Ray for $7.99? I'm there. Check out that and other Best Buy Black Friday movie deals.
- I know Funny People didn't exactly kill at the box office, but I loved it. It's coming out on Blu-Ray soon, and Cinematical scored an interview with writer/director Judd Apatow to talk about it.
- Forbes came out with a list of the 10 most overpaid actors in Hollywood, and number 1 may surprise you.
- Cinematical wants this clip of Kevin Smith talking about the Twilight saga to be the last word on the matter. I agree.
- What do you think about Bones becoming a giant Avatar promo?
A TV series about Twilight's New Moon movie means we have too many channels
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 20th 2009 8:27PM
TV Guide has a couple of weekly recap shows about American Idol when it's on, but even so this seems a bit excessive. I know Twilight is a big hit with the kids, but is it big enough that we need a weekly hour-long show to build up to the premiere of New Moon, the second film in the franchise. "This week we'll interview the cast and crew and show you some sets. Next week we can talk more to the cast and show you another piece of set. Ooh! Ooh! Wanna see an exclusive six second sneak preview of Jacob growing fur and a snout. Enthralling!" Sadly, this will probably work. If nothing else, it will get young girls watching ReelzChannel.
I have no problem with the behind-the-scenes specials we get to spotlight upcoming movies, but an entire series based on one movie seems a bit ridiculous. That said, maybe NBC should look at picking this up in case Leno doesn't work out. Make it a nightly thing. After all, there's more movies coming!
