Robert Pattinson Explains Why Sex Scene in Latest 'Twilight' Was Rated R (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 10th 2011 4:15AM
If you thought Robert Pattinson's discussion about the sex scene that was pushing the latest 'Twilight' film into an R rating was awkward on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), it's even worse when you consider that his proud parents were sitting in the audience. The rating wasn't because of any nudity seen, though. It was something far more challenging to fix, as they apparently had problems with the thrusting. That said, Pattinson said it was Kristen Stewart who pushed the boundaries and not him. So his later comment about a leash restricting his movements would have been unnecessary.
Chelsea Handler Doesn't Believe Kellan Lutz Can Read (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted May 18th 2011 4:37AM
Chelsea Handler made a startling fake discovery on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) about actor Kellan Lutz. He was talking about how bored he would get kin his trailer on the set of 'Twilight' because he couldn't do anything, and he lumped reading in with the things he couldn't do.When asked why he couldn't read, he said it was because of the contacts. But Handler wasn't buying that. "So you can't read when you have contacts in?" she asked.
"I guess I'm bad at reading," he laughed.
To test this, Handler handed him the next question she was supposed to ask him and told him to read it. Instead, he stared at it quietly for a moment.
Robert Pattinson Causes Stir With 'Ellen' Underwear on the Set of 'Twilight' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Apr 21st 2011 8:30AM
During the filming of a scene for 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,' Robert Pattinson's underwear rode up on camera. The actor was wearing his last clean undies -- a pair emblazoned with 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) logo that caused quite a stir among his management and movie producers."I was doing the last 'Twilight' movie and I only had one pair left and they were those ones. And I came on, we were doing this big fight scene," said Pattinson. "Every shot has these 'Ellen' underpants. It came to the point where, like, there were producers calling up my agent going, 'I don't know what he's up to, but I don't like it!'"
Daniel Radcliffe Guest Stars, as 'The Simpsons' Takes on 'Twilight' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Nov 8th 2010 3:21AM
'Twilight' and the 'Harry Potter' series are two of the most popular fantasy franchises in the world. But on the new 'Simpsons' (Sun., 8PM ET on Fox), Lisa Simpson showed that she wasn't a fan. In the latest installment of the 'Treehouse of Horror' series, Daniel Radcliffe guest starred as "Edmund." The 'Harry Potter' star played a vampire ... whose name and attitude resembled a character from a very famous film and book series ... Maybe you can name the character we're thinking of?
After saving Lisa from a series of accidents (just like in 'Twilight'!), Edmund offered to bite her on the neck and make her immortal. To which Lisa promptly said: No thank you.

['Supernatural' - 'Live Free or Twihard']Well, that was odd.
'Live Free or Twihard' was certainly radical a change from the comedically-inflected, very enjoyable 'Weekend at Bobby's.'

Jane Lynch, Jersey Shore, Kathy Griffin, and Everyone Else on the 'Do Something Awards' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 20th 2010 4:20AM
It's time to give something back. That was the message of the '2010 Do Something Awards' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1). This awards show honors the generous work of celebrities and of regular people who make a difference.'Glee' star Jane Lynch hosted the show, and opened up the performance while surrounded by a "crew" of Jane Lynch lookalikes. Kathy Griffin won as best 'Do Something' comedian, based on her work for human rights, AIDS, and LGBT groups. Snoop Dogg won an award for his work with a youth football league. (And did we ever think we'd see the day that Snoop Dogg would win on a humanitarian awards show? Not that Snoop isn't a great guy. It's just a little ... jarring.)
'Twilight' star Kellan Lutz won for his work with animals, and the 'Jersey Shore' cast also showed up ... for some inexplicable reason. But the big winner for the night was regular, non-celebrity girl Jessica Pozner. She was the grand prize recipient, and got $100,000 to help expand her school for girls in Kenya, which exists in that nation's largest slum. Congrats, Jessica! And excellent work, everyone!
Craig Kilborn Quizzes a 'True Blood' Star About Vampires (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 6th 2010 9:15PM
Is this a good time to mention that we've kind of missed Craig Kilborn? Yeah, he's a little weird, and he's not exactly popular these days, and his new talk show will probably be canceled soon. But still ... we like Craig. On 'The Kilborn File' (weeknights, 7PM ET on Fox), Kilborn welcomes guest Ryan Kwanten, who appears on the vampire-themed show 'True Blood.' If you're not getting your required daily dose of vampire and werewolf-related foolishness from 'Twilight,' then we recommend that you check 'True Blood' out.
Kilborn asks Ryan some of his patented oddball '5 Questions.' Among the questions is this one: Craig wants Ryan to "act," and show what it would be like if he was bitten by a female vampire. (Included in this hypothetical is the fact that Ryan would be "into" being bitten.)
Jimmy Kimmel Imagines 'Twilight' With Guidos (VIDEO)

On 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC), Jimmy Kimmel imagines if 'Twilight' had originally been cast with the fist-pumping lowlifes of MTV's 'Jersey Shore.'Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Try to Avoid Making Out (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 7th 2010 3:40AM
Hey, it's Robert Pattinson! He plays Edward Cullen -- everyone's favorite abstinence glitter vampire -- in the film series 'Twilight.' On the '2010 MTV Movie Awards' (Sun., 6PM ET on MTV), he appears along with possible real-life girlfriend Kristen Stewart, in order to receive the award for 'Best Kiss.'However, it seems that abstinence isn't just for vampire movies, as Robert and Kristen both struggle and try to avoid making out on camera. Kristen acts like she's fairly unenthusiastic: "It takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to make us look good kissing," she says. "And ... we don't want to let you guys down."
New Scenes From 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 25th 2010 12:41AM
What a high-class problem Bella Swan has. Choose her best friend, hunky Jacob Black, or her true love, broody Edward Cullen. Those who've read the 'Twilight' books by Stephenie Meyer already know the answer to that question. The rest of us will have to wait until 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' arrives in theaters June 30.We'll get plenty of sneak peeks until then, and one of them aired on 'Entertainment Tonight' (weekdays, syndicated). Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays the deadly vampire Victoria, explain a little about their characters.

Right Now on Cinematical

The folks at our sister site,Cinematical, are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:
- Rhys Ifans tells you exactly what it's like to be a part of the 'Harry Potter' series. It involves Johnny Rotten and Lady Di.
- I'm still not sure whether or not 'The Runaways' is going to be great or awful, but Joan Jett gives her take on the film.
- A documentary about Forks, Washington, where the 'Twilight' franchise takes place actually sounds interesting. Unfortunately, 'Twilight in Forks; the Saga of a Real Town' is pretty much just more 'Twilight' marketing materials.
- Blockbuster has just started putting out Redbox-like DVD kiosks in front of gas stations and the like. Is that all that's going to be left of the once-great video store chain?
- Cinematical discusses Robert Pattinson and Emile de Ravin's new film, 'Remember Me,' and says that it's actually a lot better than the public is giving it credit for.
Martha Stewart Threatens Peter Facinelli With a Wooden Spoon (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 18th 2010 4:00PM
'Twilight' star Peter Facinelli jokes about a manipulated image of Martha Stewart as a vampire, causing her to threaten him with a wooden spoon on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Stewart recalls being disciplined with a wooden spoon as a child and then seemingly begins to argue that modern parents could do the same today. However, she quickly abandons this line of thought. "Well, parents can do ... they can still ... oh, I guess they can't," Stewart said, citing Alex Baldwin as a parent who used questionable techniques and got caught.

Kristen Stewart Intimidated by Kate Winslet at the Academy Awards (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 16th 2010 12:30PM
According to 'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart, she felt quite awkward as a presenter at the 2010 Academy Awards. And, when she met Kate Winslet for the first time, she was star-struck and barely able to hold a conversation, she said on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated).Stewart said she felt "very much like a little kid on stage" while presenting and, when she met Winslet, they bonded over sharing the same hair and makeup team, but Stewart's case of nerves prevented her from saying much else.
