Don't worry about it. It's yet another uniquely "Tyra-esque" moment that can only be fully appreciated in the context of the video clip. Tyra Explains Why Her T-Shirt Doesn't Have a Penis on It (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted May 24th 2010 9:20PM
Well, 'The Tyra Show' (weekdays, syndicated) has reached its final season, and is winding down to its inevitable conclusion. We will all miss Tyra's unique brand of zaniness. On the most recent show, she provides us with a great Tyra-esque moment, by wearing a T-shirt with a picture of a penis on it. Or so one would think.Tyra quickly clarifies that her shirt does not have a picture of a penis or a vibrator on it (although that's exactly what it looks like). Instead, the shirt has the logo for her new foundation -- an organization called BIO, which stands for "Beauty Inside and Out." Unfortunately, the logo looks a bit ... suggestive.
But no! It's not a penis ... or a vibrator. Get your mind out of the gutter. Tyra explains that the picture is of "a lipstick with, like, roots [coming out of it]." Okay. And Tyra gives free copies of the T-shirt to all her audience members as well. So that we get to see hundreds of women wearing an image of -- well, what whatever you want to think it is. It's up to you to interpret it for yourself.

What should she do about this? The answer given to the question is equally odd. A member of the panel tells the woman that she should hold down her boyfriend while having sex and say, "Can your momma do this?" Um ... interesting advice! Of course, there's always the horrifying possibility that her boyfriend will say "Yes" in reply.

Plus-Sized Women on 'The Tyra Show' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted May 13th 2010 9:50PM
2010 has been declared the year of the plus-sized women. In order to honor that, Tyra Banks had a symposium of curvaceous women as guests on 'The Tyra Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Tyra also had a panel of comedians in attendance to answer the guests' questions. One woman came up to the podium and declared that her hairdresser had recently asked what her "due date" was. Her hairdresser thought that she was pregnant, but as the woman says, "I'm not pregnant, I'm just fat. I didn't know what to do, so I lied; I told her my due date was March."
The comedians on the show offered additional helpful advice, saying that the woman hadn't taken the situation far enough. They recommended that next time, the woman go even further with the fake pregnancy scam. Then they suggested that she force the person in question to rub her belly, then announce that she won't be giving birth for 18 years, until it's time for the kid to go to college. Good stuff.
Sugar Babies on 'Tyra' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted May 11th 2010 9:25PM
On 'The Tyra Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Tyra Banks meets with some self-proclaimed "sugar babies." These are women who provide "companionship" (that means sex) for wealthy older men, in exchange for gifts and money.Tyra has a long talk with a sugar baby named Judy. She presents a hypothetical to Judy. Here's the question that Judy has to answer: Would she prefer a "super-duper rich guy" with his own private jets, but the rich guy doesn't actually seem to like her that much? Or would she prefer a normal man who actually cares about her, but the normal man only makes $75,000 a year?
Judy earnestly purses her lips, considering this question. This is her answer: "I would definitely [choose the rich guy] -- the private plane -- all that. ... Oh, in a heartbeat." Right. Interesting answer, Judy! You get points for honesty, if nothing else.

Tyra Banks Burps in Front of a Guest (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Apr 27th 2010 10:30PM
Burping. We all do it. But most of us try to cover it up. Also, most of us don't have a talk show that is watched by a national audience. On 'The Tyra Show' (weekdays, syndicated), host Tyra Banks has a slight belching incident. She burps mid-sentence while talking to a guest! Rather than trying to hide the burp, she starts discussing it.Watch the video after the jump.

10 TV Talk Shows We Wish Hadn't Bit the Dust
by Leonard Jacobs, posted Jan 23rd 2010 10:00AM
And another one bites the dust.Tyra Banks had long been contemplating ways to forge an Oprah-style media empire well before the debut of her eponymous talk show in 2005. Setting aside her guest shots on 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' in the 1990s, Banks decided to establish her TV-Q as a host by successfully launching 'America's Next Top Model' in 2003. That gave her the clout to fashion 'The Tyra Banks Show' -- which she segued to just three months after leaving the runway -- into something that was part tabloid, part tasteful.
Now that Banks has announced she's ending her talk show this season -- she'll be focusing on her production company, Bankable Studios, among other projects -- we formally add 'The Tyra Banks Show' to the pantheon of great talk shows we wish hadn't bit the dust.
Apparently, Tyra's show has just been one giant bowl of crazy
by Danny Gallagher, posted Jan 5th 2010 9:00AM
I haven't been a regular watcher of Tyra Banks' syndicated gab-fest for obvious reasons (I have male genitalia and eyes).
But judging by this list of the show's most clinically insane moments in the wake of its pending cancellation, I'm really really glad I wasn't, especially if my gene pool decided to turn my outie into an innie.
Here's my favorite of the bunch: Tyra going into a crazy spiral over Vasoline ... or judging from her reaction and my occasional run-in with the neighborhood junkie, it could have more to do with mescaline.
