Studio 60 needs more Lauren Graham

Although I thought last night's Studio 60 was the best episode since the pilot -- aside from the unnecessary smacks at Columbus Sorkin made -- it was sorely missing an element that I think could have sent the episode into the stratosphere: More Lauren Graham. She was severely underused in the two episodes that she was in, appearing only in sketches in last week's episode and one scene at the beginning of this week's. What a waste. I mean, come on! Who's more capable of rattling off Sorkinesque dialogue than Graham? She's had to do similar verbal gymnastics on Gilmore Girls for seven years; Sorkin dialogue would be nothing for her. Maybe they should invite her back later this season for a more involved storyline.
It's kind of too bad she was committed to doing GG this year; she would have made a much more believable Harriet than Sarah Paulson. And, given her friendship with Matthew Perry, the on-screen chemistry between the two of them would have been palpable. Oh, well. Timing's a bitch, isn't it?
