Attorney General Eric Holder Demands 'The Wire' Return for Sixth Season
by Alex Moaba, posted Jun 1st 2011 1:15PM
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder took a break from prosecuting terrorists and white collar criminals to plead for more episodes of 'The Wire,' the critically acclaimed Baltimore crime drama from Ed Burns and David Simon. Holder said he'd also settle for a movie.Speaking at an Interagency Drug Endangered Children Task Force event, Holder made his demands clear, according to the Washington Examiner.
Holder joked: "I want to speak directly to Mr. Burns and Mr. Simon, do another season of 'The Wire.' I want another season, or a movie. I have a lot of power." As cool as more 'Wire' episodes would be, the power of the executive branch is limited. We suggest Mr. Holder get into David Simon's most recent TV work, 'Treme'.
