January Jones and Jimmy Fallon Shoot Arrows as Cupids on 'Late Night' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Feb 15th 2011 5:44AM
January Jones and Jimmy Fallon dressed like Cupids in honor of the Valentine's Day holiday and held an arrow-shooting competition on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC). And by dressed like Cupids, we mean they put on fake wings. But the arrows were real.
Actually, no they weren't. They were like something out of Green Arrow's arsenal. Each had a tiny plunger on the tip, so it could stick to the points board. It's a good thing too, as this was also a drinking game.
They could either hit hearts with point totals in them, or broken hearts, which would mean they'd have to do a shot of champagne.
"Yeah, we're going to do shots of champagne," Fallon confimed when Jones started laughing. "I'm very classy."

A Different Kind of Love Story: Little Mosque on the Prairie
by Annette Bourdeau, posted Feb 14th 2011 9:00AM
Audiences have spent four seasons watching the quiet romance between 'Little Mosque on the Prairie''s Amaar and Rayyan build. Now, they get to enjoy the big payoff -- in season five, the two crazy kids finally get together.Amaar and Rayyan, played by Zaib Shaikh and Sitara Hewitt, didn't have a typical courtship. The two devout Muslim characters aren't allowed to touch until they're married -- even after they're engaged. Naturally, hijinks ensue. (Like when Rayyan falls asleep while the two are bed shopping and Amaar has to wake her up without touching her.)
The entire season leads up to the big wedding day, when the two lovebirds will finally get some physical contact (don't worry -- nothing too racy). Just in time for Valentine's Day, we caught up with Shaikh and Hewitt to reflect on Amaar and Rayyan's restrained road to love. Awwww.

It's Valentine's Day, so we thought it best to celebrate the occasion by getting everyone in the mood for love! And what better way to do that than to watch a montage of some of the greatest kisses in television history? These kisses broke the "will they, or won't they?" tension between some of our favorite on-screen couples, challenged the censorship of the time, and quite simply, are just plain hot!
Warning: This montage may cause an uncontrollable urge to make out, so be sure to snuggle up and watch with your special someone (if you have one!) And if not, just close your eyes and fantasize about kissing Mulder yourself!
TV 101: TV's Most Dateable Characters
by Dr. Ryan Vaughan, PhD (no, seriously), posted Feb 9th 2011 1:00PM
Every Valentine's Day, the deluge of complaints about how "Valentine's Day is just created by the people at Hallmark and Hershey and KY and walk-in clinics to sell products and services" is overwhelming, and I have just one thing to say to that: So?!We live in a country that dedicates an entire day to getting laid, and we're going to complain about it? I can think of plenty of worse things to manufacture a holiday around, like Amputation Day (created by pirates to sell more peg-legs).
In the spirit of embracing Valentine's Day, here's a list of TV's most dateable characters. In the event that you spend the day alone, you can flip on your television or pop in a DVD, open that bottle of wine and pretend to have a date with a fictional character until you fall asleep making out with a pillow.

The folks at our sister site, Cinematical, are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- 'Twilight' star, Kristen Stewart, is appearing in a new film called, 'The Yellow Handkerchief.' But that, of course, doesn't mean that she gets to avoid questions about her next project, 'Breaking Dawn,' which is the final installment in the 'Twilight' saga.
- A new Martin Scorsese film should be cause for excitement, right? So why do I feel so apathetic about 'Shutter Island?' Cinematical reviews the new Leonardo DiCaprio film, here.
- As a woman who Loved 'Live Free or Die Hard' because of the copious amount of crap that blew up, but also really kind of wants to see 'Valentine's Day,' I have no idea what women want when it comes to the movies. Cinematical tries to figure it out.
- My favorite Serious Slo-Mo Walk? It has to be when the crew walks together in 'Reservoir Dogs.' What's yours?
- I'm honestly kind of surprised that it's taken this long to get a Kurt Cobain biopic, but now that we have one in the works, who should play the title character?
Garry Marshall and Martha Stewart Take a Shower Together? (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 17th 2010 10:26PM
While soap stones are definitely more appealing than panty roses, the atmosphere on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, syndicated) still managed to turn awkward today. While making the stones with Martha Stewart, Garry Marshall asked if they'd be taking a shower together. Hey, we can think of worse people to take a shower with than Marshall. At least the 'Valentine's Day' director would make us laugh and maybe even get us an intro to Julia Roberts or Hector Elizondo (not in the shower, though; that could get crowded).
But Stewart and Marshall in a shower together? We're really sorry about that visual. Really.

What You Missed Last Night: Tracy Morgan on Oprah and the Olympics
by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 16th 2010 11:27AM
A Tracy Morgan interview is truly an unpredictable event, as Joel found out last year. Often you don't know if you're talking to Tracy Morgan or Tracy Jordan from '30 Rock,' so anything is possible. Last night he was on 'The Late Show' and talked about Oprah Winfrey, 'The Wolfman,' and why he doesn't watch the Winter Olympics. They could probably use this on '30 Rock.'
Oprah is Tracy Morgan's Valentine (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 16th 2010 6:57AM
Tracy Morgan has a thing going with Oprah Winfrey. In fact, on 'Late Show With David Letterman' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), he revealed that the talk show queen was his valentine. But alas, all is not well."We're going through some problems," said Morgan. "Every time I turn around, she on the phone with Gail. Get off the phone with Gail!"
Yeah, what up with that, Oprah?!

The folks at our sister site, Cinematical, are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- Even though Sandra Bullock is nominated for an Academy Award for her role in 'The Blind Side,' it certainly doesn't mean that she can't make mistakes. Cinematical discusses Bullock's Oscar nom as well as her simultaneous Razzie nomination for 'All about Steve.'
- I haven't heard good things about the new film 'Valentine's Day,' although as a sucker for star-studded ensemble casts, that certainly isn't going to stop me from seeing it. However, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to make a franchise out of the thing.
- Cinematical reviews 'Twelve' and calls it "a very special episode of 'Gossip Girl,'" which is fitting, as it stars 'Gossip Girl''s Chace Crawford.
- I'm not sure that the fact that Benecio Del Toro reportedly mumbles his way through 'Wolfman' makes me want to see it.
- Look out world, there's a new Coppola in town: Gia Coppola, Francis Ford's granddaughter, is taking a stab at directing.
