Mother, May I Sleep With Dean McDermott?
Tori Spelling got married this weekend to actor Dean McDermott, on a private island in Fiji.First of all, who the hell has a private island? I mean, a private island? If I want to go to my local beach, I have to pay $10 just to park the car. And second, the article says that they were the only two people who attended the wedding. Um, there was a minister or justice of the peace too, right?
Spelling and McDermott met a few years ago on the set of the movie Mind Over Murder.
I freakin' forgot to watch Love Monkey last night
I was bummed when the show was canceled so quickly by CBS,
and really happy when the show was picked up VH-1 (well, the episodes already in the can), so why did I forget to watch
it last night? I have to remember, it's on VH-1, Tuesdays at 9. VH-1, Tuesdays at 9. VH-1, Tuesdays at 9!Luckily, the networks repeat everything a lot now, and this episode (titled "The Window") will be repeated this Thursday at 11am. I'm going to set my DVR just in case. The Price Is Right is on at the same time.
Don't you hate it when you're looking forward to seeing something, but you get busy and it slips your mind and you miss it?
So, are you going to watch Tori Spelling's new show?
I'll admit it: I've never taken Tori
Spelling seriously. She just seemed like that girl who was the daughter of Aaron Spelling, on a TV show (Beverly
Hills, 90210) that lasted way too long, and star of many lame TV movies, including one with the great title of
Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? But now she's back with a new
show, So Notorious, on VH-1, and it looks like she's poking fun at herself non-stop.True, it might be one of those situations where, at this point in her career, the only thing she can do is do a show where she mocks herself. But still, I'm going to check it out (it premieres this Sunday at 10). Are you going to watch?
Are you a pop culture trivia nut?
Finally, all those years of seeing Star Wars 75 times and memorizing the
Gilligan's Island theme song are going to pay off.
VH-1 is having a World Series Of Pop Culture, where you battle it out with other trivia buffs for a chance to win $100,000. Alas, we here at TV Squad can't enter, but maybe some of you readers can enter and report back to us? Here's the online application. Auditions will be held in March and April, in New York, L.A., Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta.

Pink ties the knot
Singer Pink reportedly tied the knot this weekend with her motocross racing boyfriend Carey
Hart, in Costa Rica. I can't say that Pink is one of my fave singers, but dang! I gotta give the girl props for those
abs. Hart, as you may recall, was also on the fifth season of Surreal Life (What? You didn't watch it
either?). Hopefully the Grammy-winning singer will have sense enough not to allow anyone to talk her into making a
reality show of her first year of marriage (she can ask Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey how well that idea
worked out).
