Anyone watch that Grey's Anatomy video blog?
by Jonathan Toomey, posted May 19th 2008 3:21PM
I remember seeing a brief tease during a commercial break for this during last week's ep of Grey's Anatomy, but at the time I didn't think much of it. The idea of a video blog featuring the executive producers (Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers) of Grey's struck me as something I'd expect to see as a bonus feature on a DVD set. Besides, how much were they actually going to reveal anyway? The answer? Not much. That being said, I went and watched all three parts despite my reservations. So if you don't feel like losing 20 minutes of your life, read on for some slightly spoiler-ish scoop on the future of your favorite Seattle Grace doctors.TV Squad Daily with Brigitte - VIDEO

- Daniel Baldwin's video blogs on Primetime were welcome proof that rehab is not attractive.

- Darnit! There won't be a SNL reality show after all.
Rocketboom host Congdon signs with ABC
by Julia Ward, posted Nov 14th 2006 7:33PM
Just a few days ago, we reported that online video blog Rocketboom's former host Amanda Congdon had signed a development deal with HBO. Well, while she's raking in the premium cable dough, she'll also be broadcasting on ABC as a contributor to the network's digital channel ABC News Now. She'll make occasional appearances on ABC's televised news programs and will be making a weekly video blog for abcnews.com on new media, political and environmental subjects.Congdon may be the first "cewebrity" to land a deal with a major network, but she's just one of many to use the internet as a launching pad to wider fame. United Talent Agency's Digital Talent Agency has already signed Hosea "Ze" Frank, host of The Show with Ze Frank, and Kent Nichols, co-creator of the Ask a Ninja video blog.
Brian Williams and NBC start video blog
by Joel Keller, posted Jul 19th 2006 2:01PM
First, Brian Williams became a blogger, and everyone listened. Now, the NBC Nightly News anchor has been recruited to be a vlogger, which he seems to relish. Starting yesterday, NBC is putting a video blog called "The Early Nightly" on the Nightly News' website. In the first edition of the video blog, Williams takes viewers on a tour of NBC's Tel Aviv bureau and shows viewers the protective gear he and other correspondents bring with them when they go on remote shoots, including his flack jacket breastplate. The video blog is supposed to go up every morning, after the 9:30 ET editorial conference call, according to this TV Week article. The "Daily Nightly" text blog will still be around, since it covers what was discussed during the afternoon conference call. I will say, both give you an interesting look behind the scenes, but if Williams wanted more camera time, he could just go on Conan more often. He's pretty funny on that show.
