Vince Vaughn Offers Strange Relationship Advice to Comedian Sarah Millican (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jan 31st 2011 1:21AM
When you get a variety of people together, sometimes the most unexpected things can come up in conversation. The ingredients were in place on this week's 'The Graham Norton Show' (Sat., 10PM on BBC America) when the guests were Vince Vaughn, P. Diddy and stand-up comic Sarah Millican.Millican was talking about an all-too common awkward social moment, and yet one that we generally never talk about. As she said, "There's not a nice way of saying this."
She was interacting with some friends when she "could feel a fart brewing." Millican's suggestion was to have a pre-planned safe word for this situation, as her solution at the time was to start saying "Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh" over and over again.
Matt Lauer Tosses a Perfect Snowball Strike at Kevin James (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jan 12th 2011 1:10PM
If Matt Lauer ever loses interest in being a television host, he may have a career as a minor league pitcher. On this morning's 'Today' (Weekdays, 7AM on NBC), Lauer introduced an interview segment with Kevin James and Vince Vaughn from outside the studio, about thirty feet from the window behind which the two actors were standing.Lauer had a snowball, and James was playing catcher, signaling what Lauer should throw. Lauer, a southpaw, lobbed the ball and delivered a perfect pitch that would have hit James right in the mitt. Impressed, James made the umpire's signal for a strike.
In the interview, Vaughn complimented Lauer on the throw, which Lauer identified as a slider, even though he said James had been calling for a fastball. "It was the fastball," James said, "you fought me off."
Vince Vaughn Explains Kevin James' Weight Loss (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Jan 12th 2011 5:45AM
Kevin James has lost so much weight, he looks like "a young Jan-Michael Vincent," said Vince Vaughn, his costar in 'The Dilemma.' It all started during a restaurant scene. "We were having some pasta, some steaks and we decided maybe we should lose some weight," the actor explained on 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS)."Kevin had ambitions of doing some action films in the future. I didn't share that ambition, but I was supportive of him," Vaughn said.
However, a plate of nachos ("with some processed cheese") better complemented Vaughn's character. "This old method man over here," he said, pointing to himself, "took it home with him ... I get so lost in my work I couldn't tell the difference," he joked.
The Jay Leno Show: Vince Vaughn
by Danny Gallagher, posted Sep 24th 2009 4:45AM
A talk show can only be as good as its guest. That means The Jay Leno Show can only get better than Pee Wee Herman's tornado of suck. Wednesday's episode was a big step up from the previous night, thanks in part to Vince Vaughn's entertaining sit-down with the big chinned one. Couple that with some entertaining features like "Jaywalking" and the second "Green Car Challenge," and you've got a much better show this time round the track.
Part of that success has to do with the show's choice of guest stars, but this show stuck to what makes it work by introducing new segments that fit the old show's style and building on old ones.
Every Dinner For Five episode now available from Amazon

This is very cool news for fans of Jon Favreau's gone-but-not-forgotten IFC talk show Dinner For Five: every episode is now available at Amazon.com!The actor made a deal with the Amazon company CustomFlix Labs to make every episode of the show available to fans in a number of ways. You could go the usual route and buy each season (there were four seasons total) or buy the complete set for around $42.99. But the cool part is this: you can actually buy single episode DVDs! They go for around $10.00 each. But wait it doesn't stop there (great, I'm turning into a informercial guy): you can actually customize your DVDs with your favorite episodes. Check out Favreau's.
David Arquette felt "beat up" after being on Stern - TCA Report
by Joel Keller, posted Jan 15th 2007 12:05PM
After yesterday's Q&A session for In Case of Emergency, I decided to ask David Arquette a question or two about his appearance on Howard Stern's show last week, where he talked a little about what broke up the Jennifer Aniston - Brad Pitt marriage (hint: she has bee-stung lips and a couple of adopted kids) and Aniston's subsequent relationship with Vince Vaughn, most of which made the tabloids. Did he come out of the Stern show knowing he said things that were going to become news? "You definitely think, 'What did i say that they can twist?' because they do twist it. You kind of feel beat up when you get out of there." He went on to say, "I just don't want anyone to get the wrong impression, because I love all those people."
When I asked him how Stern is able to get information like that out of people, Arquette said, "He just asks crazy questions, and you kind of want to answer them truthfully. You don't want to lie."
Jennifer Aniston stonewalls David Letterman
by Joel Keller, posted May 25th 2006 7:32AM
Jennifer Aniston was on Letterman last night, in all her hot-pantsed, oiled-legged glory. During her appearance, Dave tried a couple of times to trick her into admitting that she's dating Vince Vaughn, sneaking in questions like "So what do you and Vince actually do on a date?" But Jen wouldn't budge, teasing the audience with a couple of "You know what?"s, making them think she might admit to something, then suddenly backing off. Dave then rattled off a bunch of rumors, some real and some false, that he asked Jen to confirm or deny. Jen rolled with it, giving mockingly shocked responses to phony rumors like "She owns two white tigers." But the comedy was mostly on Dave's side, as he fumblingly drooled over Aniston's legs and tried to get her to admit to dating Vaughn (A video clip can be found here).
The kids, they love Steve Carell
by Anna Johns, posted Apr 25th 2006 10:46AM
Steve Carell, of The Office, is among the actors
nominated for Best Comedic Performance on the MTV Movie Awards. He's not nominated for The Office,
but for last summer's hilarious movie, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. He joins the ranks of Vince Vaughn and Owen
Wilson, who were nominated for Wedding Crashers. While not much weight is put into winning the awards--the
show really is all about the shock value--it's great to see Steve Carell get some recognition among the hip youngsters,
isn't it? These kids are finally discovering what longtime The Daily Show viewers have known for years: Steve
Carell is the funniest man on the planet. Was that extreme? On a sidenote: the two couples nominated for Best Kiss are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Mountain.
The awards air June 8.
Dinner For Five is no more
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 17th 2006 2:30PM
Damn, I truly loved this show. Jon Favreau invites four
industry pros to a restaurant and they eat and talk about the business and they film it. Simple, brilliant concept.Sadly, the show has now stopped production. IFC is doing more scripted shows, and Favreau is much too busy with new projects (he's prepping John Carter Of Mars, a TV show, and a new movie, possibly with Vince Vaughn). If you check out the Dinner For Five site, you'll see a note from Jon, and he says he has created his own My Space page so we can keep track of what he's up to. And die-hard D45 fans can still talk about the show on their forums.
The first season of Dinner For Five is available on DVD. Hopefully the other seasons will be coming soon.
