Barbara Walters Questions Bristol Palin About Her Sex Life on 'The View' (VIDEO)
Bristol Palin made waves with her new book 'Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far' by talking about her sex life with Levi Johnston, losing her virginity and becoming pregnant. Most of her interviews since have addressed her claim that Johnston "stole" her virginity, a topic that surfaced once again Thursday when Palin appeared on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC).Barbara Walters asked about the passage in the book where Palin described losing her virginity on a camping trip when she was drunk, and her claim about Johnston. "It must have been okay, because you kept on having sex with him, yeah?" said Walters.
Flav lost his virginity at six-years-old?
VH1 is calling this the best interview ever; Flavor Flav of the network's hit franchise Flavor of Love talked to Complex Magazine. And you won't believe what he said. Here's what you never wanted to know about the rapper-turned-reality-superstar:
1. He made another kid eat dog poop. It was revenge for the kid making Flav eat his own booger.
2. His favorite possession is a Coo-Coo clock from Switzerland. It has a little Flav that comes out and screams "Yeah Boy!" when the big hand strikes three.
Big Love: The Baptism
(S01E10) "Acceptance" and "love" were two major themes of this latest episode. Margene, feeling a bit unwanted and unappreciated, is having thoughts of leaving the Henrickson home(s) and heading out on her own, mostly due to the fact that she was accepted into the family by a 2-1 vote and not unanimously, with Nicki casting the dissenting vote. One definitely gets the feeling that she is still maturing and married Bill and had two babies before she knew it, and at 23 years of age and a polygamist, it could be that she still needs time to grow and find herself.
We are introduced to Barb's sister Cindy, who is obviously disapproving of Barb's situation and is doing all she can to ingratiate herself into the family so she can "educate" the kids about "choosing the right path" and not becoming like their parents. Her involvement leads to a huge scene when she enters into Barb's home and Nicki angrily confronting Cindy and throwing her out. It'll be interesting to see if Cindy continues trying to influence Ben, Sarah, and Teenie away from acceptance of their parents' lifestyle.
Celebs and virginity
It seems that ever since Brooke Shields embraced her virginity back in the day we've had a fascination with female celebrities and whether or not they've done the nasty. These days, however, it seems less an issue of virginity (or lack thereof) and more about how the celebrity uses it to their advantage. Britney Spears wore her celibacy like a badge of honor, which worked wonders for her image at the time, but the updated, wilder version of Britney embraces her sexuality to an annoying degree. Jessica Simpson also famously remained a virgin until marriage, but the exact moment they lost it seems inconsequential to me. Considering Spears' case specifically, I think virginity is just as much a marketing ploy as anything else. She may have lost her virginity before any of us knew about it, but we weren't going to know about it until it was beneficial to her as a celebrity. That's not a slam against Britney, that's just how stardom works these days.TV Squad Hot Topics
