A new Heroes webcomic is on its way
A long time ago, on an Internet far, far, away, the creators of the NBC series Heroes decided that a weekly webcomic series would coincide perfectly with the show they were producing. I mean, Heroes is about superheroes. So, during the first season of the show, a different artist penned a short webcomic (about five pages long) that focused on the background of one of the characters, or introduced a new character not seen on the television show. Eventually, all 34 chapters of this webcomic were collected and sold as a graphic novel. All was good in the galaxy.
Season two of Heroes could end early if the strike continues
There's good news and bad news coming out of the Heroes' universe. The good news: despite the ongoing WGA Strike, the current 'Generations' story arc running on the hit NBC show will conclude on December 3rd in an episode entitled 'Powerless'. The bad news: should the strike extend through the new year 'Powerless' may be the season finale for Heroes.
That's what Jeph Loeb, co-executive producer and writer of the series, is saying in press reports. Luckily, Loeb and executive producer/creator Tim Kring saw this strike coming ahead of time so they, and their crew, worked like crazy to get the first story arc done before the strike deadline. This made people like comic book artist Tim Sale, who creates art for the Isaac Mendez character, nearly have a nervous breakdown. Even with the hectic work schedule Loeb states that fans should be satisfied with the end of the first story arc as many hanging plot threads will be resolved.
BewbTewb: Damned before you begin?

I was REALLY looking forward to seeing how Drive turned out. It was just what I seemed to be craving in my weekly TV diet: another bout of addiction to serialized drama and paranormal wonderment. Sadly, FOX gave it the old kick in the proverbial shorts, and I find myself sadly wanting more. You have to wonder, after all the work that goes into a series like that, do the networks plan on giving it a snowball's chance in hell, and only the super lucky survive?
