Even After the Elimination, the Couples Were Still Fighting on 'Wedding Wars' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 5th 2011 4:46AM
'Wedding Wars' - 'Week Four'Things got intense in the Chapel on 'Wedding Wars' (Mon., 11PM ET on VH1). With nine couples remaining, it's surprising how strong opinions have gotten, and one couple didn't hold anything back even after they were eliminated.

After that moment of awkward tension, one of the remaining couples lit into another couple of what just went down, calling them fake and saying they're an embarrassment to their families.

The target of that tirade? They tried to keep it together, but wound up bursting out with laughter. Clearly they have no guilt or problems with how they're playing the game, and they probably suspect their family will feel the same.

'Wedding Wars': Contestants Vomit During Dog-Food Cake Challenge (VIDEO)

Contestants Puke on 'Wedding Wars'On 'Wedding Wars' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1), couples were forced to make their way through a blue cheese, paté and dog-food cake. The winning team would get the wedding cake of their dreams on the big day.

Despite his background in the Marines, Jemol wasn't strong enough to battle through. "I didn't mind being the first one to puke. I mean, I know how people are when they hear somebody else throw up -- especially if you smell something nasty. Hey, domino effect!"

He was right. Thus began what looked more like a puking competition. Kevin and Angel lost all motivation. "Let's let this [contest] go," he said. "We can do cupcakes at our wedding; I don't care at this point."

Marina's Asthma Attack on 'Wedding Wars'In the second episode of 'Wedding Wars' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1) -- a 'Survivor'-meets-wedding-competition show -- Marina tells her fiancé Rich that her chest hurts. Rich comforts her at the campsite and tries to get her to relax her breathing. But she tenses up, and a full-blown asthma attack sets in.

"Can we get the medic please?!" shouts Rich. Marina collapses on the ground, gasping for air. The medic arrives (finally!) and coaches her to breathe in through her nose and out through her mouth. He leaves and returns with an inhaler.

Out Cold Before the Game Even Starts on 'Wedding Wars' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 15th 2011 4:04AM
Jessica faints, 'Wedding Wars''Wedding Wars' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1) is a new reality competition series that promises to be some kind of weird blend of 'Survivor' and all those wedding shows. In it, 12 couples live rough while competing in various challenges toward the grand prize of their dream wedding.

Sounds simple enough, right?

How about if you faint before the competition even really begins? At a luau that kicked things off, Jessica was stepped on by one of the other brides. "Kat just like stabbed my toe with her heel," she said later. "It took my breath away."

It must have, as Jessica barely had time to tell her fiancé she'd been stepped on before she was out cold.

John Stamos: The TV Squad Interview

by Joel Keller, posted Dec 8th 2006 11:01AM
John Stamos as Tony GatesWhen people who have met John Stamos say that he's a nice, charming, down-to-earth guy, they're not kidding. He's so damned charming that twice during my phone conversation with him last week, I told him that since he already had my number, he should call me to talk about TV off-the record. (Hey, the guy said to me both times that he enjoyed the conversation. And we talked about New Jersey -- he did a movie in Freehold once. So I caved.)

It's that likability that has carried his career for the last twenty-five years, from General Hospital to Full House to ER. It's also what he hopes will draw people to Wedding Wars, an A&E original movie that will air Monday at 9 PM. In the comedy, he plays Shel, a gay party planner who sparks a national pro-gay-marriage movement when he goes on strike while planning the wedding of his brother Ben (Eric Dana).,The strike happens after he finds out Ben wrote an anti-gay marriage speech for his boss, the governor of Maine.

I spoke to Stamos about the movie for The New York Post, but while I had him on the phone, I couldn't resist asking him about ER, his Uncle Jesse mullet, and his friendship with Howard Stern. The interview is after the jump.
