'Jackass' Crew Spoofs 'Social Network' at 'Critics' Choice Movie Awards' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Jan 17th 2011 6:00AM
At the 'Critics' Choice Movie Awards' (Fri., 9PM ET on VH1), the guys from 'Jackass' parodied 'The Social Network.' In a curly wig, Johnny Knoxville played the zoned-out Mark Zuckerberg, unfazed by threats from the Winklevoss twins."Watch it, jerk," said Jason "Wee Man" Acuna. "I'm 4-foot-6, 150 pounds, and there's two of me. You told us you'd help us out with WeeBook."
Knoxville/Zuckerberg replies, "WeeBook was just a dating site for little people. My idea was so much bigger ... a dating site for little people and big people."
Christopher Knight lights himself on fire
by Kristin Sample, posted Jun 14th 2008 11:04AM
For week two of Celebrity Circus, ex-Brady Buncher Christopher Knight will set himself ablaze as he performs "fire clowning." I wonder how Adrienne Curry feels about this. It's got to raise some suspicions about your husband's sanity if he's willing to set himself on fire for reality TV. Here's some of the other stupid things the celebs will be doing this week on the show:
Wee Man battling the German Wheel, the same act in which Knight broke his arm. Wee Man will be paired with trainer Vladimir Sizov for a synchronized act. Stacey Dash will perform on the Cerceau alongside trainer Sacha Fedorchev. Dash will be creating a sexy and high-energy routine flying 50 feet above the ground with no safety line or harness. Antonio Sabato Jr. will push himself to the limit doing a hand-balancing act with his partner and trainer Christine Van Loo. There will be no room for errors as any little mistake could lead to serious injury.
Celebrities turn circus freaks for NBC
by Anna Johns, posted Apr 22nd 2008 3:21PM
Former 'N Sync-er Joey Fatone has landed another hosting gig with NBC. He'll be at the ringmaster of NBC's updated version of Circus of the Stars, called Celebrity Circus. It's basically the same idea as the '80s show, where celebrities will attempt to master the high wire, trapeze, yada yada yada. Except it has the modern reality show must-have: a row of judges who will critique their performances. Here are the "celebrities" who have agreed to participate:
- Christopher Knight, aka 'Peter Brady'
- Rachel Hunter, model
- Antonio Sabato Jr.,
- Blu Cantrell, singer
- Janet Evans, Olympic swimmer
- Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, of Jackass fame
VH1 nabs Armed & Famous
by Anna Johns, posted Jan 30th 2007 8:27PM
CBS dumped Armed & Famous this week after airing four episodes, but now it's going where it belongs: VH1. The 'reality' series stars has-been and pseudo-celebrities like Jack Osbourne, Wee Man, La Toya Jackson, Erik Estrada and Trish Stratus. They all become cadets and go out on the road with real cops in Muncie, Indiana (which commenters tell me isn't that small of a town after all).VH1 will air a marathon of Armed & Famous on Saturday, topped off with a new episode (#5) at 9 pm. VH1 says it doesn't actually have episodes 6 & 7 but it will air them if the producers get them finished. And the cable network is not ruling out a second season of the series.
Goodbye Armed & Famous
by Anna Johns, posted Jan 29th 2007 8:29AM
Well, Adam called it. CBS has pulled Armed & Famous off the air, after four episodes (there have already been four episodes?!?). The series raked in a measly 1.4 rating during its most recent episode on January 24th, just barely beating The CW's Beauty and the Geek. That final rating was less than half the ratings of the premiere, which got a 2.9. There are three more episodes of the show and so far there's no indication from the network whether they will be burned off on air. Don't be surprised if they show up on Innertube, though.Armed & Famous was pretty much doomed from the start. Even though it got a bit of press, it was still a 'reality' show about a bunch of not-so-famous people who become cops in a rural Indiana town. Pseudo-celebrities Erik Estrada, Jack Osbourne, La Toya Jackson, Wee Man and some blonde chick apparently weren't interesting enough to grab ratings. Duh.
Celebrities become officers in new reality show
by Anna Johns, posted Nov 28th 2006 4:35PM
Some b-list celebrities are working hard in Indiana right now on a celeb-reality show for CBS. Erik Estrada, Jack Osbourne, Wee Man, Trish Stratus, and La Toya Jackson are training to be reserve police officers in Muncie, Indiana. The celebrities will be trained like other police officers, which also means book-learnin' about the constitution and laws. Oh, and they'll be carrying guns when they respond to emergency calls from the public (with another, real officer). That sounds safe. I'm sure nothing will go wrong. La Toya Jackson seems like the stable kind of person you want carrying a badge and a loaded weapon. No word yet on when the reality series will air, but it sure does sound like summer content.
The Daily Show: September 20, 2006

"Thai Fighters": Over in Bangkok, Thailand, tanks traveled on their little treads to the prime minister's home and overthrew the government. It was an unexciting, bloodless coup. C'mon, Thailand! Where's the pizazz?! Asian Coup Correspondent and the newest of the new guys, Rob Riggle, used the expertise from his military background (which is real) to help explain the situation. What, is Riggle too good for a suit and a tie? Get the correspondent look together, man. And although he has the reporter-inflection down pretty good, Riggle still seems a little unsure of what he's doing. I think we'll have to wait a few weeks before we see Riggle really settle down into a character and give it his all.TV Squad Hot Topics
