Whitney Cummings Sent Casey Wilson to Her Psychic (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 6th 2011 5:00AM
Casey Wilson, 'Chelsea Lately'According to Chelsea Handler, Whitney Cummings doesn't have many friends. But two of them sat together on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!), when Casey Wilson sat down with Handler.

Wilson then talked about the psychic experience she had when she went to a psychic on the recommendation of Cummings. She described a bizarre experience then, with the psychic flirting and talking to various spirits as if it was a joke. But by the end, she had made a sobbing true believer out of Wilson.

It didn't last, though, as it seemed Wilson gained a little skepticism when she left. "I walk out front and my car has been towed," she said. "I'm like, Could she have told me that?"

Whitney Cummings Asks About 'Weird Sex Machine' in Chelsea Handler's House (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 1st 2011 5:30AM
Whitney Cummings, 'Chelsea Lately'We think it's hilarious that Whitney Cummings saw this strange device that she'd never seen before in Chelsea Handler's house and didn't ask anything about it until she was on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!). She spent this whole time thinking Handler was into some kind of weird, kinky sex games and trying to figure out how she used this giant contraption.

But when she brought it up, Handler clarified. "That's an inversion thing," she said. "It's for my brother Roy. He hangs upside down on it."

She went on to say that if you can have sex while hanging upside down, you must be really good at it, to which Cummings responded, "Well, I have two TV shows, so I obviously know what I'm doing."

by AOL TV Staff, posted Nov 8th 2011 11:45AM
On this week's 'Whitney' (9:30PM ET Thursday), the title character and her boyfriend discover that there are still key things they don't know about each other.

It starts off harmlessly enough -- Whitney (Whitney Cummings) quizzes Alex (Chris D'Elia) about his love of racquetball, a sport she didn't even know he played.

What else doesn't Whitney know about Alex? A fair amount, as it turns out.

Find out what Whitney discovers below.

Alex Has a Special Request for Whitney While Drunk on 'Whitney' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 4th 2011 3:30AM
'Whitney' - 'Two Broke-Up Guys'While the critical jury remains out on whether or not 'Whitney' (Thu., 9:30PM ET on NBC) is a great sitcom or not, one thing has remained consistent since its premiere: Chris D'Elia is a brilliant comedian. We know a lot of the scenes are at least partially ad-libbed, and we love when he gets Whitney Cummings laughing.

We suspect a lot of what he said during his drunk scene this week was made up on the spot, like when he abruptly declared to Whitney, "I wanna put my hand under your shirt."

Whitney Cummings Has a Vagina Dialogue with David Letterman (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 2nd 2011 4:00AM
Whitney Cummings, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Whitney Cummings and David Letterman just couldn't get away from the word vagina on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). She said she was appalled at how filthy his show was and how many times he'd referenced the word, so of course he did it again.

Because Cummings has two shows on competing networks right nows, '2 Broke Girls' on CBS and 'Whitney' on NBC, he decided to ask her which was the better show. "If you had to bet your vagina?" he asked, which set her off in gales of laughter.

So she threw it right back at him when he complimented her scent, but couldn't identify what it was. "You know what?" she said. "It's my vagina."

A Romance War Leads to a Very Awkward Kiss on 'Whitney' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 14th 2011 3:30AM
'Whitney' - 'Getting to Know You'Clearly 'Whitney' (Thu., 9:30PM ET on NBC) is looking to get a lot of mileage out of how much Whitney is not like most other girls, and actually despises things like that. And we're probably going to see a lot of Alex and Whitney trying to out-stubborn one another to prove a point.

We've already seen them be stubborn about whether or not Alex checked another girl out. This week it was about Whitney hating all that romantic stuff that most other women melt over.

Alex sent the first volley in their war by sending sweet text messages to her, which she hated but pretended to love.

Alex Shushes 'Whitney' and She Responds With the Silent Treatment (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 7th 2011 7:00AM
'Whitney' - 'Silent Treatment'All guys check out women. It's just something that we do, but according to 'Whitney' (Thu., 9:30PM ET on NBC), our wives and girlfriends don't want to know. Except that they also don't want us to lie to them ... actually, we think the lesson was that they want us to lie better to them?

When Alex denied looking at a woman, he wound up in a fight with Whitney which didn't end until he shushed her. At that moment, she decided to give him the silent treatment. Unfortunately, after a while of that, he realized it was actually kind of nice as it gave him more time to himself, so she reversed course completely, overwhelming him with talk until he admitted he'd looked.

EXCLUSIVE: Dealing With the Silent Treatment on 'Whitney'

by AOL TV Staff, posted Oct 4th 2011 12:00PM
The title character on 'Whitney' is known for her outspoken views; she's not exactly a shrinking violet and doesn't shy away from letting her opinions be known.

But in the exclusive video below, we hear from her boyfriend, Alex (Chris D'Elia), who knows his longtime girlfriend better than anyone else.

You could almost say that Alex's monologue from Thursday's episode of the NBC comedy is like hearing from Whitney herself.

Whitney and Alex Fake a First Date, And Its Aftermath, on 'Whitney' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 30th 2011 3:15AM
'Whitney' - 'First Date'If you thought it might be fun to see Whitney and Alex on their first date, 'Whitney' (Thu., 9:30PM ET on NBC) gave us just that. Only it wasn't the way you might have expected, as the couple never really had a first date.

So Whitney decides they should recreate that, taking it -- as expected -- way beyond what a sane person would do. So after failing to impress her on the first date, Andy winds up with no place to stay and decides to play along. So he plays it cool, as guys do.

Whitney Tries to Play Sexy Nurse for Alex on the 'Whitney' Series Premiere (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Sep 23rd 2011 9:00AM
'Whitney' S01/E01'Whitney' (Thurs., 9:30PM ET on NBC) has been one of the most eagerly anticipated new comedies of the fall season. It's also one of two (count 'em) new comedies created by star Whitney Cummings.

Alex (Chris D'Elia) and Whitney have been dating for three years now and she's starting to fret that maybe their love life's getting a bit dull.

So what's a girl to do? If you're Whitney you crack open the costume box and put on your sexy nurse outfit and some killer heels to spice things up.

Lucky Alex is totally onboard with all this -- "I think I got that file you're looking for!" -- and in his haste to accompany Whitney into the bedroom he starts taking off his pants on the run. And that's where it all goes horribly, horribly wrong.

Kathie Lee Is Counting on 'Whitney' to Save NBC (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 22nd 2011 2:45PM
Kathie Lee has some high expectations for Whitney Cummings' new NBC sitcom 'Whitney.' As soon as Cummings sat down for an interview on the fourth hour of 'Today' (9AM ET on NBC), Gifford told Cummings that they were counting on her to save the network.

Faced with that kind of pressure, Cummings responded in a way that fit the setting: by chugging her drink. The interview rolled on from there, as Kathie Lee and Hoda cracked up while Cummings shook her "water bra" for an onlooker and asked the ladies if they had roofied her cocktail.

Jonah Hill and Whitney Cummings Fight, Throw Water on 'Late Night' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 22nd 2011 5:30AM
Whitney Cummings & Jonah Hill, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'Things got a little out of hand between Jonah Hill and Whitney Cummings on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC), though Jimmy Fallon has a theory as to why Hill got so angry with Cummings.

First of all, she was rubbing it in that her boyfriend was his boss, though in actuality he's a co-creator on the new FOX comedy 'Allen Gregory' with Hill. When Hill was getting worked up -- jokingly, of course -- Fallon and Cummings tried to keep it cool.

But then he knocked his cup of water off the couch, splashing some water on Cummings' dress. He immediately apologized, but Fallon started shouting that he needed to stop losing weight. "It is making you angry!" he declared.

Major Flirting With Gerard Butler and Whitney Cummings on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 21st 2011 3:45AM
Gerard Butler & Whitney Cummings, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'The sexual tension hanging in the air during Whitney Cummings' interview on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) was so thick that Jay Leno could barely fight his way through it to get a word in edgewise.

It's all Gerard Butler's fault for choosing to stick around for Commings' interview. She immediately perched on his lap and asked if she could do the interview from there. The pair went back and forth cracking jokes about erections, sitting on faces and more before Cummings had to lay down the law.

"Do not fall in love with me," she declared, only to find out that it was too late.

Reviews: '2 Broke Girls,' 'New Girl' & 'Whitney' Put Ladies at the Comedy Forefront

by Maureen Ryan, posted Sep 19th 2011 11:35AM
A lot will be written this fall -- and a lot already has been said -- about the bumper crop of new shows that revolve around female characters. Three women-centered comedies premiere this week, and they certainly have their share of interesting gender issues.

But before getting into that topic, it might be worth saying whether these comedies are funny or not, and whether they have the potential to be consistently amusing once they shake off the flop sweat that almost all comedy pilots display.

In order of both laughs and potential, I'd list the shows in the following order: The solid '2 Broke Girls' (9:30PM ET Monday, CBS) is at the head of the class, 'New Girl' (9PM ET Tuesday, Fox) is in the middle of the pack, and 'Whitney' (9:30PM ET Thursday, NBC) is the most problematic of the three.

The 'Chelsea Lately' Roundtable: TV's New Casting Mecca

by Maggie Furlong, posted Jul 1st 2011 1:45PM
Chelsea HandlerIt doesn't really matter if you think Chelsea Handler's talk show is funny or not, because the TV casting gods have decided that it is.

Five -- count 'em five -- 'Chelsea Lately' comedians have secured lead and supporting roles on network TV shows this fall, and that's not counting how many guest spots the rest of them are probably lining up. So has the 'Chelsea Lately' roundtable become the new casting couch?

Now we should note that these aren't the first lucky/intrepid stand-ups to try to hit it big without Handler: Jen Kirkman famously quit her gig at 'Chelsea' to write for 'Perfect Couples' on NBC, but came back when that show got canceled. And roundtable regular Josh Wolf appeared on several episodes of 'Raising Hope' last season, but never really quit his "day job."

But a few full-time gigs might take the following funny people from late night to primetime for good ... or at least for a while. Take a look at what Chelsea's merry crew of inappropriate comedians will be up to next season.
