On 'Who Do You Think You Are?' (Fri., 8PM ET on NBC), Lisa Kudrow traveled to Poland and visited the mass grave site of her great-grandmother. It proved to be an emotional journey for Kudrow, but one she's glad to have taken."These people were no threat, they were nothing," said Kudrow. "It's just the ravings of a madman who decided that Jews didn't fit into the way he saw the human race."

Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town - Tuesday March 16, 9 pm, CBC
True story: When I was in high school, I was lucky enough to be invited on a date by the new guy at school. His dad worked with CBC and our date was to be a live taping of the original 'Kids in the Hall' sketch show. My date treated me to a large soda before the show and once seated, we discovered we were not allowed to get up again until taping concluded. Long story short: I peed my pants I laughed so hard. Needless to say, I didn't get a second date. Having the Kids back on TV has been a blast, and hopefully this final episode of 'Death Comes to Town' isn't the last time we'll see them reunited.
'Who Do You Think You Are?' Preview: Genealogy Shows Are All the Rage
by Allyssa Lee, posted Mar 5th 2010 12:00PM
It's all relative on the new NBC series 'Who Do You Think You Are?' which premieres tonight at 8PM ET. Despite its potentially combative title, the show is not about parents dealing with their children's backtalk. Produced by Lisa Kudrow and based on the British documentary series of the same name, the show follows seven celebrities -- including Kudrow herself, Brooke Shields, football great Emmitt Smith, Matthew Broderick and Susan Sarandon -- as they consult historians and genealogy experts in an attempt to unearth their own family trees.

'Who Do You Think You Are?' (8PM, NBC) series premiereWill audiences be privy to the deep, dark family secrets of the stars? Could be, as this seven-part series, produced by 'Friends' star Lisa Kudrow, follows seven celebs as they research their family trees and find out some surprising info. First up is 'Sex and the City' star Sarah Jessica Parker, whose research takes her coast-to-coast, from Northern California to Salem, MA, and reveals surprising tragedy and relationships. SJP's hubby, Matthew Broderick, will also explore his ancestral history in an upcoming episode, as will Kudrow, Spike Lee, Susan Sarandon, Brooke Shields and NFL vet (and 'Dancing with the Stars' champ) Emmitt Smith.
Lisa Kudrow Answers the Question: Who Do You Think You Are?
by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 4th 2010 2:03PM
You might say genealogical research runs in Lisa Kudrow's family. Long before the former 'Friends' star decided to bring the British TV show 'Who Do You Think You Are?' to American television, her father had already written a family tree that Kudrow says takes up roughly 46 pages. Kudrow saw the long-running original show, which investigates the family history and genealogy of celebrities, when visiting Ireland, and decided to bring it to American audiences. The only question was, would she tell her own story on the show?
NBC announces four new dramas, two new comedies to fall lineup
by Jason Hughes, posted May 4th 2009 12:22PM
There weren't a lot of surprises at NBC's "In Front" presentation this morning. As already leaked, Parks & Recreation, Heroes, and Southland have been renewed, joining the already announced 30 Rock, The Office, The Celebrity Apprentice, Friday Night Lights, The Biggest Loser and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. There's still no word on Law & Order's bid for a 20th season, nor did they clarify the fate of Chuck, though insiders feel confident both will be back. Back on the bubble is Medium, which was leaked as renewed last night, along with My Name Is Earl. Their fates are a bit more murky, especially Earl considering NBC is giving Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" a prime-time berth, apparently launching NBC's Thursday night.
