Will Arnett says Arrested Development movie is underway

by Danny Gallagher, posted Jan 12th 2010 9:30PM
The big screen revival of one of TV's most talked about shows is underway, even if it seems harder to put together than an IKEA "Jerker."

Now it's been officially confirmed by Will Arnett, Michael Bluth's unsuccessful magician brother Gob, that even though the project still doesn't have a script, the gears are turning and plans are underway to start shooting this year.

Is it just me or will you only believe that this movie is going to be made until its sitting on my DVD shelf in between my Daily Show Indecision '04 box set and my Criterion collection edition of Robocop? I've had heavily medicated girlfriends that are more on-again, off-again than this project.

5 Questions With: Will Arnett

by Maggie Furlong, posted Apr 14th 2009 6:00AM
Will Arnett"Ennis Hofftard ... he's a genuinely all-around pretty despicable guy in a lot of ways."

Since his notable role as Gob Bluth on 'Arrested Development,' Will Arnett has been everywhere -- from movies like 'Blades of Glory' and 'Monsters vs. Aliens' to a hilarious recurring guest spot on '30 Rock.' Now he's finally making the move back to TV full-time ... just don't expect to see his face every week.

His new animated Fox sitcom, 'Sit Down, Shut Up' (premieres Sunday, April 19 at 8:30 PM EST), has him re-teaming with fellow 'Arrested Development' alums Jason Bateman and series creator Mitch Hurwitz. Arnett stars as an incredibly vain English teacher in a school full of self-absorbed faculty members.

AOL TV caught up with Arnett and got him to dish about being a voice man, continuing his streak of jerky characters, his days on 'The Sopranos' (seriously) and why 'Law & Order' plays such a huge part in his life. -- By Maggie Furlong
