Wilson Phillips is one of the biggest musical acts of all time, so it's a big deal that they've decided to reunite for an album. 'Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On' (Sun., 9PM ET on TV Guide) is set to chronicle the creation of that album, but right away it hit a major hurdle when Chynna Phillips had to tell bandmates Carnie and Wendy Wilson that she'd agreed to be on 'Dancing With the Stars.'

She was surprised that they weren't as supportive of this "huge opportunity" for her. Carnie was concerned about the album they'd committed to do, while Wendy couldn't seem to get her jaw hinge to work. It was certainly a huge blow, but it might have gone over easier had Chynna told them that this was a huge opportunity for all of them.

The all-girl singing group, known for their hit 'Hold On,' teased the project to AOL Music during the summer of 2011, but now the news is confirmed.

The project will chronicle the three members -- Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips -- as they juggle family life while staging the ultimate musical comeback.

"Wilson Phillips is extremely excited to start a reality show following the reunion of the girls and what it's like 21 years later," Carnie Wilson said in a statement. "Between touring, recording a new CD and raising nine children, the show promises love, laughter and head bumping!"

It was a star-studded affair at the 2011 Do Something! Awards' (Thu., 9PM ET on VH1). The show spotlights and awards people for making a difference in their communities and in the world.

And of course it also spotlights celebrities who take the time to reach out as well. How else are you going to lure in as many viewers as you can? With the likes of Bieber, Gaga, Colbert, Fallon, Ferrell and Wilde, of course.

It was a star-studded event, and all the cool kids were there to accept awards. The show also accepted plenty of rocking musical performances by Foster the People, Demi Lovato, One Republic and B.o.B, and Jane Lynch took to the stage to perform 'Hold On' with Wilson Phillips.

Hot off their surprise 'Bridesmaids' cameo, Wilson Phillips is heading to TV with a new reality show.

In an interview with our sister site AOL Music, the female pop group divulged the news.

"We're starting a record and a new TV show," Carnie Wilson said. "It's exciting."

Wilson Phillips, known for their 20-year-old super hit "Hold On," is comprised of rock royalty. Sisters Carnie and Wendy Wilson, daughters of Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson teamed with their childhood friend Chynna Phillips, daughter of The Mamas and the Papas members John and Michelle Phillips, to form the female group.

Reality is not relative when it comes to television. Reality television, my friends, is here to stay. So when I let you know that GSN will air Carnie Wilson: Unstapled, a new reality show starring the former singer from Wilson Phillips and the host of The Newlywed Game, you shouldn't be surprised. At least not about another celebrity reality program. The fact that it's going to be on GSN -- that's the Game Show Network -- however, that's a bit of a shocker.

GSN has fallen in love with Carnie Wilson. Kelly Goode, GSN senior vice president for original programming and development, gushed about CW, saying, "Carnie is incredibly funny and earthy. ... She's a personality the viewers have fallen in love with. And she's a hit on The Newlywed Game.
