Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Beyonce and Cloris Leachman Highlight the 2011 VMAs (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 29th 2011 3:21AM
As always, the 'MTV Video Music Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on MTV) was a spectacle of sight and sound, filled with the hottest faces and voices in popular music. Jay-Z and Kany West lit up the stage with a duet, while Mrs. Jay-Z, Beyonce, performed and revealed that the couple was expecting.Lady Gaga presented yet another crazy costume, only this time the craziest thing about it was that she was portraying a man -- her own lover, no less. She stayed in character to present Britney Spears with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, where the pair almost kissed, but Spears said, "I've done that already."

The Amazing Race All-Stars: "Low to the Ground, That's My Technique" (season finale)

(S11E13) Ahhh... I really was rooting for the Beauty Queens! I think they were really, really bummed about coming in very close second. I wanted to cry with them. I'm not sure what my problem is with Eric & Danielle. I just felt like they didn't have a whole lot of personality, unlike the other teams in the top three. I feel like they pout a lot.
Seinfeld tops DVD awards
by Adam Finley, posted Oct 5th 2006 5:57PM
The fifth and sixth season sets of Seinfeld took top honors at the recent TV DVD Awards in Century City, California. Seinfeld won "Best of Show" and "Best 1990s Series." Below is a list of winners in other categories. I didn't purchase any of these DVDs, with the exception of The Simpsons. Were there any DVDs that came out between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2006 you guys think should be on this list? I was somewhat surprised to see Dinosaurs win for Best Children's Program, not because it was a bad show, but because I considered it more of a family show than a children's show. Anyway, the list:
- Best 2000s Series: Lost: The Complete First Season
- Best 1980s Series: Remington Steele: Seasons 4 and 5
- Best 1970s Series: The Bob Newhart Show: The Complete Second Season
- Best 1960s Series: The Munsters: The Complete Second Season
- Best 1950s Series: The Adventures of Superman: The Complete First Season
- Best Animated Series: The Simpsons: The Complete Seventh Season
- Best Children's Series: Dinosaurs: The Complete First and Second Seasons
- Best Reality Series: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
- Best Variety Series: Project Runway: The Complete Second Season
- Best One-Season Wonder: The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., The Complete Series
- Best Miniseries: From the Earth to the Moon
- Best British TV Series: Doctor Who: The Complete First Series
- Best TV Documentary: Ken Burns: American Lives
- Best Bonus Material: Lost: The Complete First Season
Here are the winners of the Couric sign-off contest
by Joel Keller, posted Sep 19th 2006 7:25PM
A couple of weeks ago, I asked you to come up with possible CBS Evening News sign-offs for Katie Couric, then I extended the contest last week. Well, between the two posts, we received almost 100 responses. Some of you sent multiple entries. Others of you went for the wacky or the dirty (you know who you are). Still others decided to take the time to send responses like "I'm Katie Couric. Good night," thinking that their straightforwardness was going to get them some stars (it wasn't). There were a lot of good choices, but here are the ones I thought were the best:American Inventor: The final 12 are chosen

(S01E05/S01E06) Finally we're getting somewhere. Though at first I thought two hours was way too much
to go through these rounds, I actually think it's the previous four episodes that dragged on longer than necessary. It
was a little confusing how the inventions were show to us in the previous weeks, as there were some I just don't
remember seeing at all, though they moved on. The Mobile Family Plot? Flush Pure? Did they show us these before? Eh, no
matter. Here's the list of those inventions they showed, the ones that made the first cut and the ones that make the
final twelve.TV Squad Hot Topics
