Watch Snooki Kick Butt on 'Wrestlemania' (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 4th 2011 12:45PM
We've seen Snooki throw down with Angelina on 'Jersey Shore,' and it was entertaining (for all the wrong reasons). But that pales in comparison to this little gem Vulture has pointed us to.You see, Snooki took the WWE and 'Wrestlemania' by storm. She backflipped her way into the hearts of millions of wrestling fans. Literally.
This wasn't Snooki's first foray into the big bad world of professional wrestling. The reality star got into the thick of it on an episode of 'Monday Night Raw' last month.
Check out the video of Snooks roughing up some opponents and busting out all sorts of moves in the right. Who knew she could move that quickly?
The Miz, Genius Behind Conan's 'Ginja Ninja,' Claims Responsibility for 'Jersey Shore'
by Sandra Deane, posted Apr 3rd 2011 11:00AM
It's been a decade since Mike "The Miz" Mizanin became a reality star on the 10th season of 'The Real World.' This Sunday he'll be defending his WWE championship at 'WrestleMania XXVII' (7PM ET, PPV). Wow, what a difference 10 years makes. We got a chance to chat with The Miz earlier this week at a NYC 'WrestleMania' press event, where scores of fans invaded the Hard Rock Cafe to chant "awesome" in adoration.
Hot off the heels of his appearance on 'Conan' last week, where he dubbed the late night host "The Ginja Ninja," Miz explained why he felt Conan O'Brien needed a new nickname. "I didn't like Coco," he said. "Coco's not a good superstar name."
He then went on to claim responsibility for the 'Jersey Shore' phenomenon and dished how his fellow pro wrestlers compare to his former 'Real World' castmates.

The Rock Knows His Role, Declares He'd Win 'Dancing With the Stars'
by Sandra Deane, posted Apr 2nd 2011 11:00AM
Finally, The Rock has come back to 'Wrestlemania'! Despite his box office success, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has never forgotten where he got his start - as a third generation pro wrestler. This Sunday he'll be hosting 'WrestleMania XXVII' (7PM ET, PPV), and he promised fans and press this week that he'd "layeth the smacketh down" at the event. In a brief chat with The Rock this week at an NYC 'WrestleMania' press event, the wrestler-turned-actor shared his thoughts about his former colleague Chris Jericho doing 'Dancing With the Stars,' why athletes perform so well on that show and what would happen if The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment took the 'DWTS' stage. And we're pretty sure he admits to locking lips with Jericho at some point. Um, what?

You've got questions? I've got answers. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper diagnosed with lymphoma
by Anna Johns, posted Nov 29th 2006 6:35PM
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper, one of the most charismatic characters on televised wrestling in the 1980s, has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Up until two weeks ago, Piper, 52, was touring Europe with World Wrestling Entertainment, but then he returned to Canada to have a doctor check out discomfort in his back. It turns out, he has a cancerous tumor on a disc on his spine. He'll begin treatment immediately, with the support of his wife and four children. Piper told a Canadian newspaper that he's determined to defeat the cancer.Piper shared the wrestling spotlight with Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan in the 1980s, starring in the first of the Wrestlemania events. He even co-starred in a Saturday morning cartoon with fellow wrestlers. Piper's real name is Roderick George Toombs, but he chose Roddy Piper as his wrestling alter-ego, complete with bagpipe and Scottish "rage".
