Rachel Crow Reflects on Her Emotional 'X Factor' Elimination (VIDEO)
by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 9th 2011 6:20PM
After Rachel Crow was eliminated on Thursday night's 'X Factor,' the 13-year-old singer dropped to the floor and sobbed in a dramatic, heart-breaking reality TV moment. After spending a night recovering from the disappointment, Crow put on her game-face for an interview with 'Good Day LA' (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox). She showed up looking re-juvenated, and flashed the infectious smile that helped keep her in the competition for so long. Crow reflected on her emotional reaction to getting eliminated. "It wasn't surprise, it was like, 'What am I going to do now?' You know? This was everything."
'The X Factor' Recap: Top 4 Revealed - Who Was Eliminated? (VIDEO)

For one blissful moment around the ten minute mark, I almost fooled myself into thinking that this week's 'X Factor' results show was only a half hour long. Surely, I thought, they couldn't stretch the announcement of the final four over an hour. (Do I even go here?)Sadly, thanks to musical performances from Lenny Kravitz -- with no probing questions about 'The Hunger Games,' for shame, Steve Jones -- and Mary J. Blige, plus an inane video introducing us to the tireless backstage crew, the producers just about managed to pad the episode. And what a shocking episode it turned out to be.
The act sent home this week was ...
'The X Factor' Recap: Top 5 Revealed - Who Was Double-Eliminated?

It was Michael Jackson week on 'X Factor,' and, for reasons probably known only to Simon Cowell, another excuse for a double elimination.Thankfully, the poor Jackson clan weren't subjected to the results show as well as the performances (Blanket thanks you, Fox) and we're not about to prevaricate either. The remaining contestants sang 'Man in the Mirror,' with Marcus and Melanie acquitting themselves well while Chris Rene missed more notes than he hit.
Despite Steve Jones' hyperbole, only Melanie turned in a performance really worthy of the artist they were celebrating, meaning that many of the acts should've been in danger of elimination. The two artists who were sent home were ...

What better way to cap off a week of giving thanks than with a double elimination?'The X Factor' found an excellent way to make the hour of filler pass more speedily this week, fitting in performances from Kelly Clarkson and Bruno Mars as well as two "save me" songs and two remarkably drama-free exits.
Without further adieu, the two acts eliminated this week were ...

America and 'The X Factor' completely defied my expectations on Thursday night. When Steve Jones announced that the first two acts safe this week were the aggressively mediocre Lakoda Rayne and LeRoy Bell, it became apparent that there would be no predicting this week's results.Still, with so many fan-favorite acts apparently in danger of elimination, the episode provided far more tension than I was anticipating this early in the game, when it seemed that all of the groups would be wiped out before the solo artists would have their turn on the chopping block.
The third act to be eliminated by America and the judges was:

As predicted, the systematic wipe-out of the groups continued on 'The X Factor' tonight, with The Stereo Hogzz and Lakoda Rayne taking the bottom two slots after America's vote. Is this proof that US audiences just aren't ready for groups in vocal competitions? It's strange, given some of the lackluster solo performances we've seen in recent weeks, that even when the groups perform solidly, they still haven't made enough of a connection with viewers to progress further in the live rounds. I firmly believe that the remaining group will be knocked out next week, and I guess then we'll finally start to see some drama in the Thursday eliminations.
Join us after the jump to find out who was the second act to be eliminated by America (and the judges).
