Watch Rosie hang upside down - VIDEO
Rosie O'Donnell recently revealed that she has suffered from depression since 1997. She did so on a "special episode" of The View yesterday that was dedicated to women and depression. To combat it, Rosie hangs upside down on a yoga swing for 15-30 minutes every day. She also takes antidepressants and practices regular (not upside down) yoga. While it's noble of her to talk about depression-- a disease which still has a negative stigma-- the swinging upside down is just plain funny to watch.

Rescue Me: Karate
(S03E08) Ahh, my glorious return to the age of power... well sort of. All my power is back but the internet is still down. So I'm at the office and I feel like everyone has more to say about this episode than me because they all saw last week's installment. But I feel pretty caught up. I've read some other reviews and the "previously on Rescue Me" montage at the beginning of the show was pretty complete. All I'm saying is bear with me since I'm still trying to connect all the dots.
That being said, great opening sequence. Huge warehouse fire and some men from another house get trapped in the basement. The Probie was the only one not in the building yet and he risked his life to find the man down and got him out. It was huge. High fives, pats on the back. He was on cloud nine. He's definitely no longer The Probie after this act of courage. Though I wonder if the rest of the crew even know his real name is Mike?
Winnie Cooper, hottest math geek ever
Yes, I'm a girl. But I'm not blind. I know that Danica McKellar, the actress who played Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years, is drop-dead gorgeous. She's also wicked smart. As you may remember from Ryan's retrospective earlier this year, McKellar graduated from UCLA with a degree in Mathematics. She's putting that knowledge to work by writing a book for middle-school girls about how to master math. It's called 'Math Doesn't Suck' and it's being published next year by Hudson Street Press. McKellar said she wants to help break the stereotype about how only geeks are good at math. OK. So she probably wouldn't enjoy my headline. If you're not into math books for middle school girls (and I would totally question you if you were), you can see McKellar soon on the Lifetime series, Inspector Mom, and on her new Yoga DVDs, Daily Dose of Dharma. You just saw the word 'yoga' and forgot everything I wrote about math, didn't you?
