Bernie the Gorilla Joins Kevin James to Promote 'Zookeeper' on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 8th 2011 4:30AM
When Kevin James showed up on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) to promote his new movie 'Zookeeper,' he wasn't alone. He was joined on the couch by Bernie the Gorilla from the movie, voiced again by Nick Nolte. The two bickered throughout the bit, with Bernie saying James insisted on being called "Mr. James" on the set, and even had a guy whose only job was to bring him smoothies all day.
James retorted by accusing the gorilla of not being able to handle the fact that James gave him his big break in movies. It was a lot of this kind of silliness, but we were still impressed with the gorilla itself. The mouth animation was respectable enough, and the suit itself was almost perfect.
